Great Bogota sightseeing with a local friend! - We rented a friend and it was a great decision. Juani has a wide knowledge about the city, history and patiently answered our questions. It was nice to discover the city with her and we got good recommendations for our next few days.

The Best Bogota Guides! - I’m Colombian American and traveled with my American husband and teenager. We hired Zebra Tours for two days and their ability to cater to us in both English and Spanish was exactly what I hoped for. Aleja and Juani are friendly, engaging, well-informed and thoroughly understand what non-Colombians need to know. They far exceeded our expectations. This was my third visit to the Gold Museum (Museo de Oro) over the years but the first visit where I really understood the history. Aleja’s knowledge and skilled storytelling made our visit super interesting even for our surly teen. We also loved our tour of the Paloquemao fruit market. In all my previous visits to Colombia I didn’t have someone that could translate the names of fruits to English so it was always a bit of a mystery what I was eating. Juani’s warm personality was shown as she whisked us around the huge market visiting various fruit sellers and making accessible what would have otherwise been intimidating and virtually impossible to navigate alone. We recommend them to anyone wanting to get the most out of Bogota.

1000% recommend; Book on day 1! - I cannot say enough positive things about the "rent a friend" tour. Aleja was amazing and really was the highlight of our trip to Colombia. Not only is she so full of knowledge, positive energy, and love for Colombia, they are super flexible in accommodating your schedule. We had a last minute need to change the schedule and they were great with it. I'd recommend booking this tour the first day of your trip - it will really help give you a good context of the city and increase your enjoyment overall!

Rent a Friend is awesome - We are a family of five. We chose “rent a local friend” and Aleja was our friend for two days. We toured Monserrate/La Candelaria/Chapinero/Paloquemao market. We ate in local restaurants (no tourists) and saw special places most people don’t know about. Aleja and the whole experience was amazing. We highly recommend (even all of the teenagers were impressed).

An amazing and unique tour of Bogota! - Zebra Fisgona was an amazing experience for us. Aleja was charasmatic, personable and totally attentive to our needs. Aleja showed us around Bogota, and in Bogota she took us off the beaten path and helped us find experiences that we couldn't have found with out spending a s signifcant amount of time in the country. In addition, she made the trip immeasurably more intertesting by providing historical and context basically everywhere we went, letting us know how Colmbias recent and distant history impacted everything we say. Zebra Fisgona made our trip so so much more fun. I cannot reccomend this experience enough.

The Perfect Day in Bogota - This is the best way to see Bogota. My friend and I spent a whole day with Aleja, exploring Bogota with a personalized tour. I'm not usually a fan of tours, but this was different. It was less a tour and more hanging out with a local friend showing you their beautiful city. I appreciated every moment and I can't recommend this highly enough. I had high expectations and this exceeded them in every way.

The way to see Bogota!!! - Juani and Aleja of ZEBRA FISGONA TOURS zebrafisgona.com were stupendous English speaking born in Bogota tour guides that instantly became friends of ours. The outings we did were all cultural, inspirational, and most important local. Did you know there are over 7 types of avocados ( aguacate) Each with their own flavor, texture and taste? Juani took us to local markets and we learned our stuff. I went bike riding to the best markets on Sunday when streets close and bikes rule. We went to Salt caves, hiking with waterfalls, a mountain retreat and a night club with such theatrics you must remember to close your mouth as your in suspense. The girls knew just how to decipher what we would like and how much time would be right. We also had the perfect driver who also shared his heart and soul. Juani has his number. These are the people you NEED to see Bogota. What you will pay is a fraction of the experience you will receive. It’s more expensive NOT to have their guidance and fun filled joy of live personalities. Tell Juani to wear her hat and whatever you do don’t wear Sandels in Bogota. You will look like a blaring tourist and a standout ( not in a good way ):)

The best tour guides in the city - I had the pleasure of experiencing not one, but two “rent a friend” tours with Zebra Fisgona Tours in Bogotá, Colombia, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The name says it all: I left feeling like Juani and Aleja are truly my friends - very different from the transactional tours you get with other companies. What’s more, they entertained my ask to have a tour in Spanish. I am not a native speaker, I am pure Gringo, but they gave me all the information in Spanish first, and when I got confused switched to English to make sure. It was just the immersive cultural experience I was after out here in beautiful Bogota. The first tour took me through the historic La Candelaria zone. Alejandra, my first guide, brought the rich history of this area to life with her captivating stories and deep knowledge. From the colorful colonial buildings to the fascinating museums, every stop was a journey back in time. Alejandra's passion for history and her engaging storytelling made this tour unforgettable. The second tour was a delightful bike ride across town on public bikes. Juanita led us through various neighborhoods, ensuring we saw both the well-known and hidden gems of Bogotá. Her enthusiasm and energy were infectious, making the ride both fun and informative. Navigating the city on bikes gave us a unique perspective and allowed us to cover a lot of ground effortlessly. One of the highlights was the tour of the Chapinero zone, where we explored charming bookstores and enjoyed some of the best coffee in the city. This area is a haven for book lovers and coffee enthusiasts, and Juanita's knowledge of the best spots made the experience even more special. Alejandra and Juanita are truly amazing guides. Their expertise, friendliness, and genuine love for Bogotá shone through in every aspect of the tours. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic time, and their personalized approach made each tour feel unique, not to mention, their recommendations of what to do outside the tour lasted me the entire trip. If you're visiting Bogotá, don't miss out on the chance to explore the city with Zebra Tours. With guides like Alejandra and Juanita, you're guaranteed an enriching and enjoyable experience.
