- Flavors of Bogota - Our workshops include stops at three different specialty coffee shops in the Chapinero neighborhood of Bogota. At the first coffee shop we will do a coffee tasting and discuss important highlights of the history of coffee in Colombia, why coffee tastings are important, and how you can taste coffee like the pros do.
At the second coffee shop we will also do a tasting to find the special characteristics in the coffee. But at this stop we’ll discuss where coffee is grown in Colombia and why it is so important to millions of coffee growers. We’ll also discuss how roasting affects what you get in the cup.
At the third shop we’ll talk about how coffee is grown and processed and the surprising ways that changes the coffees taste and other characteristics.

We commence and conclude our walking journey in one of Bogota’s restaurant zones. A coffee connoisseur will be your guide and will share the fascinating history of coffee and introduce you to the cutting-edge coffee brewing techniques. Gain insights into the unique traits of the award-winning coffees you’ll be sampling, why Colombia is a prime coffee-growing region, and learn more about the coffee producers.
The 3-hour session comprises coffee tastings at every shop we drop by, excluding any additional food and beverages.
Keep in mind that Colombian coffee makes for excellent keepsakes.
Note that our group workshops are conducted exclusively in English.

- The workshop takes place in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately - in Bogota that means you should bring a light jacket or sweater and an umbrella
