Blood Compact Monument - This site commemorates a significant event in Philippine history between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi of Spain and Rajah Sikatuna of Bohol. The Sikatuna-Legaspi blood compact is recognized as the First Treaty of Friendship between two different races, religions, cultures, and civilizations, based on mutual respect and equality. This event is commonly known as “Sandugo.”
Baclayon Church Museum - Bohol is not only famous for the Chocolate Hills or the sparkling waters of Alona Beach. With its deep historical ties to the spread of Christianity, Bohol is also known for its ancient churches, including the immaculate Baclayon Church. Officially named the Immaculate Conception Church of Baclayon, it is one of Bohol’s most treasured sacred sites. The church was established in 1596 by Father Gabriel Sanchez and Father Juan de Torres, the first Spanish Jesuit priests to arrive in Cebu.
Bohol Python and Wildlife Park - The largest python in captivity, over 25 feet long and fed one small pig a month, resides in Alburquerque, Bohol. The Bohol Python and Wildlife Park is an enjoyable and educational destination for those interested in wildlife conservation. The tour takes about 30 to 45 minutes to explore the entire park, which also houses other animals, including a rescued Philippine Eagle. Without this sanctuary, many of these animals, injured by other animals or humans, would not survive in the wild.
Tarsier Conservation Area - Located in barangay Upper Bonbon, Loboc town, this six-hectare woodland area is the new home for captive tarsiers previously displayed along the Loboc River. The tarsier (Tarsius syrichta fraterculus), Bohol’s tourism mascot, is known locally by various names. For years, tarsiers were mistreated by tourists along the Loboc riverbank. Now, a three-hectare area with pebbled pathways and a thatched-roofed waiting area for tarsier souvenirs has been established for visitors.
Chocolate Hills Natural Monument - The Chocolate Hills in Bohol are a renowned tourist attraction in the Philippines, famous for their unique and majestic appearance. With over 1,000 symmetrical mounds resembling Hershey’s Kisses, the hills are named for their color. During the rainy season, the grass covering the hills is lush and green, while in the summer, it turns a chocolatey brown, giving the hills their name.
Sotera’s ATV Rides - Optional Tour - Sotera’s ATV Rides is a popular sports and recreation activity located in Chocolate Hills, Buenos Aires, Carmen, Bohol, Philippines.
Loboc River - Home to the famous Loboc Children’s Choir, Loboc is a peaceful municipality known for the pristine Loboc River, one of the cleanest rivers in the country. A must-visit during your Bohol tours, you can experience a cruise along the river on a floating restaurant. The Loboc River Dinner Cruise starts at the Loay Bridge or the Loboc town proper and usually lasts about an hour.
Bilar Man-Made Forest - This man-made mahogany forest stretches for two kilometers along the border of Loboc and Bilar towns. The forest stands out for the uniform height of its trees, the spread of their branches, and the design of their leaves. The roots of the trees are also a sight to behold as they protrude from the ground and crawl over boulders and the land’s contours.
Aproniana Gift Shop - Before heading home, visit Aproniana, a souvenir shop in Taguihon, Baclayon, Bohol, Philippines. Located about 10 minutes from Baclayon Church, Aproniana Souvenir Shop is considered “Bohol’s ultimate souvenir destination,” offering a wide range of items to remember your time in Bohol.
