Experience the uniqueness of flying from within a National Park! As the only Hot Air Balloon operation in South Africa to launch from within Pilanesberg National Park, we offer you a truly unique flying experience. Allow us to take you on a journey above the pristine wilderness, undoubtedly the finest way of viewing the park which is home to the ‘Big Five’.
The unique vantage point provided by a balloon flight will allow you to see things normal tours might miss, as well as allow you to soak in the stunning landscape from a totally new perspective. Upon landing, enjoy some champagne and breakfast canapes as you compare unforgettable sights with your fellow travellers.
Flights are conducted at sunrise and you will need to allow for approximately 5 hours for the full experience.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- A minimum of 4 people are required for the flight to take place
- All passenger heights MUST be advised at time of booking. For safety reasons passengers must be taller than 1.2 metres
- Closed on New Years Day 01 January.

Wonderful experience - We did the balloon safari yesterday. I think it was one of those experiences so incredible that explaining it in words won't do justice to the grandeur of the experience. It was simply incredible!! A perfect day !!! I think the photos speak for themselves

Fantastic Experience - The ballon flight was amazing. Got to see families of seveal species traveling though the park.
After theflight we had the traditional chanpagnie at the landing sight then went to a resort hotel on the south side of the park for breakfast. Our lodge was at the north side of the park. Our driver took a scenic route though the park and managed to find several species that we hadn't seen on any of the three game drives we had before the flight

Wow! - A friendly, beautiful, peaceful and memorable experience. Marc, our pilot challenged us to only exclaim “Wow” once during the adventure and we all failed to meet the challenge. Ll lol Wow! Our fellow balloon passengers from Liverpool and France were so friendly. Wow! Marc was professional and funny. Wow! The ride was smooth and serene. Wow! The sunrise, animal sightings and scenery were spectacular. Wow! We got to share a once in a lifetime experience with a dear friend!

Great expereience - This was our first baloon trip. We were so excited that we had no time to think about the height.
It was a very special atmoshere to arrive at the starting point, see the sunrise and the preparing of the baloons for lift off.
We took a lot of photos and also the landing was perfect. The champagne reception at the end of the trip was great.
We can only recommend this trip

Unacceptable - We were supposed to do it the Tuesday 01/08/23 but they cancelled it the day before around 7 pm... telling us that the weather was not good (and I can ensure that the weather was very sunny and there was no wind on the 01/08/23). We had to insist and call them to try to get another slot (because they just send text messages telling that it is cancelled).
Finally, it was good for the 02/08, they send an email to do the check-in for the activites. But, again, they cancelled it at 6 pm. With no explanation. We had to call them the day after to have details about the refund (and finally we had to do an email to Viator to get it because it was not done automatically). We are very disappointed. It is not acceptable when you pay 580€ for an activity.
