Excellent One Day Taste of Africa. - This was an incredible experience. We were here for a conference and just had one free day. The company was great to deal with. The driver (Bryan) met us at our hotel at exactly the planned time. 2.5-hour drive to the park in an air-conditioned van. At the park, we transferred to an open truck with another group, so 12 of us in total. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Knew were to find the animals. We saw antelopes, zebras, elephants, giraffes and as a hight light a leopard in a tree. Lunch was excellent, and there were giraffes and zebras grazing behind us. Can't recommend this tour enough.

Amazing day! - My husband and I had an amazing time on the safari. Everything was as promised. Vehicles, drivers, and guides were all top notch. We got an up close view of many different animals and enjoyed a nice lunch which was included. We highly recommend this experience.

Safari bound - The park is amazing. George our guide was great. We weren't able to see all of the big 5 but we saw most of them. George went out of his way to find every one that he could. And when they were spotted he gave us plenty of time for photos. You can't control nature so some days will always be better than others. George really made the experience worthwhile. I'll definitely come back. Brian our driver was wonderful. We really enjoyed our ride there and back with him

Awesome Safari Tour At The Pilanesberg. - My partner and I came from Sydney Australia for a short break and did the Pilanesberg and Sun City tour it was an amazing experience from pick up at the hotel to drop off back at the hotel. We used Phillipianes 4 tours there service was amazing. Our driver was very professional and very polite and kind. He showed us everything that we needed to know assisted us at the game park and at Sun City we had no problems from start to finish. We will definitely do it again. Thank you everyone.

Crazy fun day! - Such an amazing day being out of the city and with such a wide variety of animals! The driver (Tshepo) from the hotel to the park was so friendly and helpful in learning about South Africa. The guide (Ambos) was very fun and incredible in his knowledge of all the animals. Highly recommend this excursion!

Check the timing on your commute to the park! - Check the distance from your hotel, then add 45-60 minutes. After we were picked up, we had to drive across town to pick up the rest of the group. We drove a total of 3.5 hours each way. Had I known, I might have picked another tour. Otherwise, it was fabulous! Great guide, awesome park!

Full day tour is too much - The animal is not too many..so if you want to joint this tour..full day is too much. Half day tour is more than enough.

Experience overall not worthwhile - If I am to give separate ratings to the staff involved in the tour and to the Pilanesburg National Park experience, I would give the staff (and the tour operator) a 5-star rating and the Park experience itself a 2-star rating. The tour was supposed to last roughly 6 hours including a lunch break, however we ended dropping out after the morning leg of the tour. We spent 3 hours in the jeep but the only animals we were able to see clearly were four zebras, few impalas, two elephants and five giraffes. We 'think' we saw one lion (or maybe more) from a distance, but the view was so hazy and unclear that I wasn't sure what I was looking at. We did see a dead buffalo on the way but I don't count this as part of the Big 5 sightings. Besides the rare sightings of the said Big 5 animals, the park itself looked quite desolate and dry. I was expecting to see a park full of lush vegetation and greenery, instead we saw one in a semi-arid state with dry grasses and bushes, burnt trees, and sparse vegetation. It wasn't the most breathtaking view. While I do understand the safari experience in a natural reserve is different than seeing animals in man-made parks, the whole experience to me was not worthwhile. I am sure it could be different and more enjoyable to other people with a different set of expectations.
