Oruro - Sajama National Park

Sajama National Park - The journey begins early on day one with a pick-up from the meeting point. The first stop is the town of Turco, where visitors explore Pumri, the enchanted stone city. The trip then continues to Sajama National Park, arriving around noon. After settling into the lodging, the group visits the queñuas forest and viewpoint. The night is spent resting at the lodging. Early the next morning (2 to 3 am), transportation takes the group to the high field (5500 meters above sea level) of Acotango.

Sajama National Park - Acotango

Acotango - The day starts very early (2 to 3 am) with a 4x4 drive to the high field of Acotango, reaching nearly 5500 meters above sea level. From there, a 5 to 6 hour hike leads to the summit of the snow-capped mountain. After the trek, the group returns to the high field, where transportation picks them up to return to the lodging in Sajama National Park. The day concludes with a relaxing visit to the hot springs.

Sajama National Park - Oruro

Sajama National Park - After a restful night, the group visits various attractions in Sajama National Park, including geysers and high-altitude lagoons. Following lunch in Sajama, the journey concludes with a return to the original meeting point.

The Acotango is located in the Sajama National Park with a height of 6052 meters above sea level, it is considered one of the most accessible mountains in Bolivia, easy and not very technical, the ascent can be made by people without previous mountain experience, the Sajama National Park also offers you a series of attractions, geysers, hot springs, the queñuas forest and high altitude lagoons, making your adventure a unique and unforgettable experience. It does not require complicated logistics, it is not necessary to set up the camp, you leave the accommodation in the early hours of the morning and mobility takes us to the high field and the ascent begins, for the return in the same way….
