Train Cemetery - The Train Cemetery in Uyuni is a fascinating tourist attraction. This desolate site is filled with abandoned railway machinery, evoking thoughts of the glorious past of the early 20th century. The silver mining boom necessitated the construction of railways, and Uyuni was the first place in Bolivia to hear a train whistle.
You will have a visit with photo opportunities.
Colchani - Colchani is home to 580 residents whose livelihoods are tied to salt extraction, agriculture (royal quinoa), crafts, and tourism. It is a must-stop on the way to the majestic Uyuni salt flat. The area is known for its small houses made of salt bricks, and attractions include the salt factory and craft stalls on the main street.
Activities:
- Purchase handicrafts at the town’s central point.
- Visit the salt processor and the Salt Museum in Colchani.
- View the first Salt Hotel “Playa Blanca,” now the main salt museum in the area.
Isla Incahuasi - Next, stop at the salt piles and visit the Salt Museum. Enjoy the breathtaking landscape from the top of Incahuasi Island, located in the middle of the salt flat, offering an incredible 360° view of the Salar.
Tunupa Volcano - Continue the journey to the foot of the Tunupa Volcano, where lunch will be served amidst the Salt Flats with a stunning view.

Stop at the Ollague Volcano Viewpoint at 5,865 meters above sea level, one of the most active volcanoes in the Western Cordillera. From there, see fumaroles approximately 100 meters high.
Immerse yourself in volcanic rocks with unique shapes.
Siloli Desert - Cross the Salar de Chiguana, another salt formation bordering Chile, surrounded by volcanoes in shades of gray, silver, red, and white.

Ojo de Perdiz – San Pedro de Atacama
Arbol de Piedra - Explore the extensive lands of the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, a protected area in Bolivia with a unique ecosystem showcasing incredible natural phenomena.
Visit one of the driest places on Earth, a desert known for strong winds and intriguing volcanic rock formations like the Stone Tree.
Laguna Colorada - Visit Laguna Colorada, the most important nesting site for three species of flamingos. The lagoon’s red color is due to algae reacting to solar radiation and wind.
Geiser Sol de la Manana - Cross the Geysers, known as the Morning Sun Geysers, where their full splendor is visible in the morning with the first light. This is the highest point of the route (5000 meters above sea level).
