Absolutely superb - We booked a small group pasta making experience for our trip to Bologna via TripAdvisor/Viator and, once booked, you complete a questionnaire with your preferences and location of your holiday accommodation then you are matched to a suitable ‘cesarine’ host. We had a morning class with Roberta and it was just myself and my partner. It was AMAZING! We’ve done a chocolate making class in Belgium (which we also thoroughly enjoyed), but the pasta class with Roberta was even more superior. Communication beforehand was excellent. Roberta messaged us to confirm her address and check which pastas we wanted to make. Upon arrival, we were treated to a home cooked light meal with local foods and a choice of local wines. Tip - go hungry!! Then we made tiramisu and, whilst that set in the fridge, we made 2 types of pasta, making the dough from scratch. We made tortellini and tagliatelle. Then Roberta made 2 amazing homemade sauces for each type of pasta and we ate them both then eating the finished tiramisu. Roberta was a wonderful host - friendly, informative and helpfully making sure we got the cooking techniques right. Thoroughly recommend this experience when in Bologna.

Roberta was incredible. A must. - Roberta was so wonderful. Only reason I gave five stars is that I could not give it more! We were welcomed into her house with homemade, from scratch appetizers and prosecco. This was an unexpected and gracious delight. We had our choice of pastas and sauces. Roberta was very patient with us and a great teacher. It was obvious that she absolutely loves to cook. I Highly recommend this tour to anyone that’s interested in learning to cook true Italian.

Fantastic cooking experience with Maurizio - What a great experience we had doing a cooking class with Maurizio at his home. We made two types of pasta and tiramisu. Thank you, Maurizio for welcoming us to your beautiful home and sharing your passion for cooking and family traditions with us. Maurizio was kind and patient with us. He was warm and friendly and had a lovely energy about him. He was great with my teenage son. Maurizio also provided us with snacks while we cooked including some of the olives his grandmother had preserved. Sitting down and sharing a meal on your balcony of the things we had made and the beautiful ragu prepared by Maurizio together with the cooking lesson itself made this a highlight of our 6 week trip.

A great session for our family - This class was a real pleasure for our cooking curious family. Rosa was warm, efficient, and we made three different kinds of Bolognese food – all of which were delicious. It was delightful to be shown how to pull that off, and the environment could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommend would go again.

Outstanding evening with Marco - Our experience was fantastic! Marco picked us up and we drove about 20 minutes to his lovely home in the countryside. We were warmly greeted by his wife Silvia and his son Andrea. We had apertivo on the patio and then began making pasta with Silvia. She was so patient and kind. We made tortelloni, tagliatelle and tiramisu. Our meal was lovely. We sat on the patio and ate tortelloni with butter and sage. Tagiatelle with bolognase ragu and tiramisu for dessert. Marco and his family were wonderful hosts and made us feel like celebrities in their home. After dinner, Marco drove us back to our Airbnb. This was the highlight of our 5 week trip in Italy.

Highlight of our trip in Bologna! - Our family had the most amazing experience with Roberta's cooking class in Bologna earlier this month. Roberta was incredible—extremely patient and super knowledgeable, sharing a wealth of local and foodie insights throughout the session. We specifically requested a vegetarian option and were thrilled to cook tortelloni and tiramisu. Our daughters, aged 6 and 8, who can be quite picky eaters, absolutely loved the entire experience. Watching them engage with the cooking process and enjoy the delicious results was truly the highlight of our trip to Italy. We strongly recommend this cooking class to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable culinary experience in a super welcoming home setting. Thank you Roberta!

Really disappointing - Rip off. I informed Viator in advance that I'm vegan and they told me the session would be adapted to make a vegan meal. Cesarine staff weren't aware and just put something quickly together for me. Really disappointing and a waste of a day.
