Memorable Holiday Meal! - We thoroughly enjoyed both our meal and visit with Cesarine Margherita! We traveled to Italy to visit our college-aged daughter completing her semester studying abroad in nearby Florence. Bologna is a scenic town convenietly located nearby (40-minute train commute), and our Cesarine's lovely home was conveniently located in the heart of Bologna. We enjoyed an excellent four-course meal with tradional Bolognaise recipes (including the famous, delcious sauce!), and as we prepared and enjoyed our meal together with Margherita, we appreciated learning some fantastic cooking tips for Italian cuisine while learning more about Bologna and Italian traditions. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, especially families, as our family will always cherish this very special and memorable Thanksgiving meal we celebated together with lovely Cesarine Margherita. Pasta-making with Paola: A Memorable (and Delicious!) Morning in Bologna - Our experience with Paola was exceptional! In addition to her friendly welcome and charming manner, she is an excellent teacher who explains the steps behind pasta-making and the rationale behind them, clearly and confidently. We thoroughly enjoyed both the learning component (Lasagne with Homemade Green Pasta and Bolognese style Ragu and Bechamel Sauces) and the dining experience at Paola's well-appointed table. She even included lovely homemade treats and Lambrusco wine with the meal! As retired educators and avid home cooks ourselves, we felt very fortunate to have such a fun-loving and encouraging teacher as Paola!

Relaxing and delicious experience - Alessandra C., and this experience was excellent. Alessandra had an appetizer waiting for us with great wine. She was kind and patient when teaching us some new skills and explained the process of making the food while providing some history along the way. Her home was cleaned and all the food was delicious. I can't wait for my next trip to Bologna to cook with her again!

The most amazing time with Barbara and Paola! - My husband and I had the most amazing time with Barbara and Paola! From the very first moment we met till the end, they made us feel at home. The food they prepared was so delicious!!! They even shared the recipes with us which was very kind. I totally recommend this activity to everyone 💯 💯 💯. Excellent!!! Fantastic Experience - Taking a cooking class with Paola was a fantastic experience. This was our first class with a Cesarine hostess, and we were totally impressed. From the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be a terrific experience. Paola was lovely, and her home was beautiful. It was like visiting a friend. We loved every moment of cooking, loved everything we ate, and were totally impressed with the skills we learned. Paola's english was perfect, and she explained every step in a simple and understandable manner. The table was beautifully set, and Paola added her own touches to our food, to make the meal complete. I was pleasantly surprised when the tiramisu I made turned out perfectly! We look forward to our next Cesarine class, and would highly recommend this to others. A MUST DO when in Bologna.

Lovely experience at beutiful local home in Bologna - Amazing experience! Food was delicious and Elena and her husband Saverio, were very kind and friendly. You can tell they have lot of experience delivering these classes and everything was very well organized. The house is beautiful and they have an awesome terraze. I definitely recommend it!

The highlight of our 2 week trip to Italy was the amazing cooking and dining experience provided by Oriana!! - Surpassed our wildest expectations, charming home to learn to cook in, our host was so patient and sharing with her vast knowledge of cooking, in particular with the authentic Bolognese experience. We left feeling like family, and would recommend Oriana to anyone interested in taking a private cooking class, no matter what level of expertise. So grateful to have had this experience, and will fondly remember this day forever.

Disappointing Dinner Experience at the host family - After the trip to Italy, I finally have time to provide my feedback to you about my dinner experience with your host Nicoletta Biroli. First of all, it's nothing like what we have expected, very disappointing! The hosting environment, the dinner area, is very small, no define dinning area, right in front of her kitchen. The weather was very hot (no fan or air conditioning), with mosquitos flying around. My daughter and I are very sensitive with strong reaction to mosquito bites. WE GOT MANY OF THEM THAT NIGHT. The food was terrible! She showed us what is on the menu, all area was cross out except appetizer, main course and dessert. For Appetizer, each of us were served a small spinach quiche. It was so small that I can finish in one bite. See attached picture. For dinner, we were served a plain Saffron Rosotto. For dessert, we were serve a personal size pear pie. She served us a bottle of wine which was a very cheep wine, as I can taste like vinegar. After couple of zips, my daughter immediately felt sick and having a strong headache, which is often caused by drinking low quality wines. We stop taking the wine immediately. We specially asked in the dinner reservation to have an English speaking host. She doesn't speak or understand a word of English. As such, we had a hard time communicating, only through Google Translate. This dinner experience was very unpleasant which is still lingering in our mind. I am not a person to write bad reviews and often choose to overcome bad impressions. However, I really want to bring it to your attention this time, as you may not aware of the details of each host's actual performance. I don't think this host should be qualified on your company's host list. For this bad experience, I want to ask you for the full refund of this dinner payment as you didn't deliver what you are promise to deliver. Please investigate this further and to honor our request.
