Legal - It was a pleasant experience with easy communication; the train took us safely and several return times and fair price

Nice tour but... - As with any visit to a city, the first thing I do is a bus tour to locate my position with respect to the artistic beauties and not the city itself. So I'm in Bologna and we decide to do a first tour. So it rains even if under the porches we catch the first operator who offers us a tour. We were not careful and asked for little information about it, nice but did not allow us to get on and off at will, it only had an intermediate stage, explanations and headphones ok in the norm.

Fun train ride, but no food tasting - The crew organizing this were on time, professional and friendly. It was enjoyable, but I wouldn’t call it a “food tasting”. They basically gave me a few coupons for places in town. I thought it was a food tasting combined with the ride up the hill.

Not worth the price - Not worth the price, the tour narration was sparse with a few historical facts. The church and view was beautiful, but that’s it, nothing else up there Return train was an hour late, you only need an hour to see everything

Not worth it - While I wasn't expecting the world based from the previous reviews, I'm surprised our experience had never been described. This shouldn't even be an offered experience. First, the process to get on the train was not very clear. We went to the meeting location but didn't know who or what we were looking for. None of the surrounding businesses in the piazza knew either. We stood in line at the actual train and the "Sky Express" employees also had no idea where we were supposed to go or how to obtain our tickets. We missed our scheduled train time. We finally found a business that contacted the Viator company for us. Our experience was postponed an hour, after already being there a half hour before our scheduled departure time. We were at the square at 1:30 and didn't catch the train until 3 pm. Beyond aggravating. Bologna Tour did email us about the postponed time, but we weren't on Wifi, so I didn't know (also found out on our last day that Bologna has free open wifi throughput the city center). The train ride up was fine and luckily the holiday hours gave us additional options for leaving. The delay just gave us less time to enjoy San Lucas. We were provided coupons for a few snacks in downtown Bologna. Unfortunately, it was our last day and we were unable to use them all. We left them for the next visitors at our Airbnb. So why do I think this shouldn't be offered, because it's not worth it. The girl met us at the location walked us to the train, exchanged tickets at the train for our receipt and said Caio. The train is 13 euros, you can skip the nonsense and middle man and just get the tickets when you want. What you're paying Viator for is nonsense. You don't need the free food, just walk the streets and try what you want. Save yourself the money and skip this "experience ".

Ok but not really worth the $ - The ride to the cathedral took over an hour due to traffic spent about an hour there. The food vouchers are a joke You have to find the location then stand in line Better to book a fad tour

Bad experience - Bad, indeed, more than bad experience. We showed up for the tour at the indicated time, the train was fully booked and overbooked (we weren’t the only ones who couldn’t get on). The hostesses, rude and indisposed, motivated the overbooking by blaming us for arriving late, without trying to resolve the situation. Unfit. The broker we had relied on (bolognatour.eu) was unable to resolve the unfortunate situation, advising us to postpone the tour to the next day, not knowing that on Sunday the train would not be running for an event on the way to the shrine.

Not worth it - Not worth the added expense. We could have purchased tickets for the train at the same place everyone else did at 1/3 the price. We had no advantage as someone just handed us our tickets to the train, gave us a map of the city, and gave us a voucher for 10 per cent off at some cafe that was way out of the way for us to even find and two other vouchers for samples at places that were also out of the way. We had to wait in line to board the train just like everyone else. We were not given any priority. Definitely not worth the extra money.

Not worth it - Totally misleading. Raises expectations which are not matched. Better if you separately buy train ticket and that’s it. No food tasting at all. They give you some crappy discount vouchers. Google points are not even correct. Family of 4 split in 2 due to limited spaces. Disappointing. Do not waste your money.
