This section of the Upper Colorado River is an excellent spot to safely learn the fundamentals of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) while challenging yourself on rapids or opting to bypass some. Originating as snowmelt high in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Rockies give rise to the legendary Colorado River. Downstream of the National Park, the river intensifies through the renowned Class 5 “Gore Canyon,” but below, it calms where our Colorado River SUP trips commence.
Feel the thrill of river rapids atop your SUP. Land on beaches to stretch. Stop at a riverside hot spring to warm up! Paddle past picturesque areas including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands, and steep canyon walls. This diverse landscape is home to a variety of wildlife, including bald eagles, deer, beavers, and bighorn sheep.
We proudly operate as a smaller company offering intimate Colorado adventures. Our stand-up paddleboard guides are highly trained, experienced, and state-certified.
