Fun Sailboat experience in BoothBay - Great time getting out on a sailboat! Katie the captain & Meghan the deck hand were a great crew, and took excellent care of us. The cruise was entertaining, fun and it was nice to get to hear of some of the local backstory. Would highly recommend this company!

Family trip - Amazing cruise around Boothbay. Both captain and crew helped make the trip enjoyable. Saw seals and a dolphin

A Gem of a Sailing Experience in Boothbay Harbor - Be sure you don’t miss your opportunity to sail on the Eastwind when you visit Boothbay Harbor. This is the epitome of easy sailing! You can help hoist the sails with the young captain and his pretty mat just sit on the deck and “supervise.” Then, enjoy a drink as you cruise around this beautiful harbor. People of any age can participate. But, if you’re a senior, as my wife and I are (reasonably fit 80 year-olds) you need to be stable on your feet to walk down the pier, board the boat, and move around when the sails are reset to tack. Most of the time you’ll just sit back and take in the beautiful scenery. Th captain gives a totally balanced commentary, as well as the young lady who is the crew. We give this two hour cruise two thumbs up!

Very cool way to spend time in Boothbay - Best part of the sail was definitely Sherman and Meghan(even though she spells her name wrong). They made the trip fun and interesting with many local stories and lore mixed in. It was totally authentic and thoroughly enjoyable with these 2 locals in charge. Very relaxing and great value.

The trip was lovely. Parking is miserable in Boothbay as it is a small village so leave time to park. Great experience - Lovely time. Leave early to park. Captain and first mare and woman at check in were all great. Beautiful scenery. Older boat but very nice for a relaxing day on the water.

Fun day on the bay - We had a fun sailing experience on the water. Check-in was smooth. The staff was friendly and experienced and asked for volunteers for some of the sailing tasks. It was relaxing to be on the water, but we would have liked some narration/ history—for example about the houses, where the eagles nest, and the lighthouse. It wouldn’t have to be a lot, because without, it seemed a bit meandering. We still would recommend the sailing experience! It is possible the captain was telling facts to guests seated back by him as we were in the front. Thus, pick the back seats!

Enjoy 2 hours at sea - Great way to spend 2 hours exploring the bay. Limited seating, so no overcrowding. Beautiful harbor town with many restaurant choices. Not a thrill-seeking trip, just a slow tour on a true sailboat

First sail - They give you an opportunity to raise the sails. My 6 year old raised one as well. It was an experience for sure. I just wished we would have gone a little farther out or up the coastline some.

Expected more…. - Gosh, when I looked at all the positive reviews, I really wondered if I was on the right cruise. First, the positives: weather was perfect for being out on the water, crew seemed very capable and knowledgeable, drinks and soft beverages available for those who wanted them. Now, for the negatives: the wind did not cooperate so not much real sailing although the captain tried. What was most disappointing was that the captain and crew did not provide much information about points of interest, history behind schooners, sailing information, etc. Also, there seemed to be a lot of chit chat between the crew about other boats, sailors, captains that was somewhat negative and totally unnecessary for us to hear. At times, we felt like we were on our own as they were talking a lot between themselves, and not just about the technical aspects of sailing. I would think that there is a team of captains and crew who do this so by all means, give it a try. Just not what we expected…the lack of engagement and lack of information..,
