Title of opinion: A rewarding and friendly visit - I visited the Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum with friends, and it was a really pleasant experience! The place is steeped in history and highlights the importance of wine in Bordeaux’s culture and economy. The presentations were very well made, with clear explanations and interesting anecdotes. The staff was welcoming and passionate, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Even without being a wine lover, I enjoyed discovering the production methods, the trades and all the heritage around this fascinating universe. An activity that I recommend to all those who want to know more about the history of Bordeaux!

You can’t judge a book by its’ cover! - We moved to Bordeaux 4 months ago and live 200 meters from this museum. We’ve walked by it dozens of times and thought the entrance was so unappealing that it wouldn’t be worth going in. We were wrong! This museum is a simple, straightforward and realistic representation of the history of Bordeaux and how intertwined wine is with the history of the city. We spent about an hour walking through the museum part of the experience, and about an hour for the wine tasting. I lived in San Francisco for 5 years and spent half my weekends in Napa Valley and Sonoma. I’ve seen my fair share of wineries and done too many wine tastings. This place is really different. Every step of the museum is well documented and contains an extraordinary amount of detail and artifacts that bring the history to life. The wine tasting wasn’t hurried at all. The young man that conducted our tasting (Edward) did an outstanding job of explaining the various differences of the wine producing regions around Bordeaux, and took as many questions as we offered. We are learning French, but he was perfectly capable of doing the tasting in English. We would definitely recommend this museum!

Very interesting and pleasant experience - I was pleasantly surprised by the welcome of the wine and trading museum, Being very little acquainted with this field I was able to learn more about the city in which I grew up. The tasting was full of surprises and well animated by Mr Pablo who mastered his domain. I highly recommend, activity to do alone, with friends, family or even on a date. One word to define this experience: incredible

Charming little museum - Lovely little museum. The visit is quick. But the best part of the tour is that it is accompanied by a wine tasting course. You have to choose between 2 or 3 wines (we took 3). The course is super interesting. Also, the museum shop is tiny but full of things. To do (does well by going to the Wine City).

A good experience - From the first moment, the atmosphere of the place engulfed us in the rich history and tradition of winemaking, with an exhibition of ancient utensils, barrels and bottles from different times, which allowed us to understand the evolution of wine and its cultural importance. We were pleasantly surprised that the tasting was in Spanish, the girl was very friendly and Pro.

Nice authentic wine cave and museum - Enjoyed our visit to the wine museum. Very helpful young man explained the necessary information to us before we explored the museum and cave. At the end we had a wine tasting talk and lesson from the lovely lady called Luna, she did an amazing presentation in English. A very nice visit using our city pass

The Bordeaux Wine and... - The Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum is set in an old cellar, which unfortunately had a strong musty and mouldy smell that made it difficult for me to fully enjoy the visit. That said, the wine tasting was absolutely divine. The staff provided excellent knowledge about the wines, which added great value to the experience and made it worthwhile despite the setting. If you’re in Bordeaux, I would also highly recommend visiting the Cité du Vin museum for a more polished and immersive wine experience.
