Spend a day of leisure and exploration, ensconced in a deluxe, air-conditioned van.
Accompanied by your own personal guide, you’ll be ushered, gently and courteously, to Cognac.
In advance, we’ll have arranged a tour for you of the Royal Castle of Cognac, the foundations of which were laid around 950 AD. A historically rich site that has been home to numerous noble families, it’s now owned by the descendants of the two gentlemen who purchased it in 1795. These two erstwhile merchants chose to convert it into their wine cellars and the headquarters of the Otard company.
Come lunchtime, we have a table reserved for you in a local restaurant, known for its authentic, palate-pleasing fare.
Your post-lunch hours will be spent touring one of Cognac’s illustrious distilleries, where you’ll learn all about the production of the much-loved spirit that was a favorite of Napoleon.
Wrap up the day with a comfortable journey back to Bordeaux.
