Comprehensive and nicely paced food and wine tour. Excellent value for money. - Wonderful day with Xavier our guide. I visited with my boyfriend. We left Bordeaux at 0930 and returned approx 1630. We visited Saint emilion first and had an hour to wander the village. Then we visited Chateau La Rose des Vents winery for a tasting of 1 white/3 reds. We had a preprepared lunch which was delicious. Then we visited Chateau Grangey for a tasting of 4 reds and finally we visited Chateau Monlot for a tasting of 1 white/2 reds. The tour was nicely paced. Xavier kept the conversation going throughout and there was an enjoyable mix of learning and general chat. We purchased 6 wines from chateau grangey to have them shipped to Ireland. There were 8 of us in total with a great mix of backgrounds. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Terrific intensive wine appreciation tour. - The knowledge of our guide Valentin was great. He was most generous. The small group allowed time for every one to ask questions and enjoy the tour.

St Emilian half day - We've been half day at St Emilian and it was a great experience. Nicole, our guide was amazing and she knows so many things about wine. And Frank, from the chateaux was a good host. Next time when I'm in Bordeaux I will take the full day tour.

Perfect way to spend a day in Bordeaux - Very much enjoyed the day with our guide Margot and our small group. Have done wine tours in other regions and countries but learnt so much more on this one thanks to Margot and the people at each of the tastings. Pleased we selected this tour, great way to experience the region and the wine.

Special memories made - Me and my mom did this tour Tuesday 16th April and it was absolutely fabulous!!! The guide Emmanuele was fantastic, she's so friendly and has so much interesting information to offer, Nicole was also a lovely person and will make a fantastic guide too! The trip to Saint Emilion was incredible starting at a beautiful historic church and then absorbing the views from the Bell Tower at the top of the town, a walk through the town gave us a super interesting insight to the history of Saint Emilion. We then visited a vineyard - Château Grangey - the owner Franc was welcoming and friendly with lots of interesting information and fabulous wine, we got to taste 3 which were all fantastic and different. The surroundings of the vineyard in the French countryside is beautiful. I'm absolutely going to book another trip to Saint Emilion with Olala next time I'm in Bordeaux, however next time I'd like more time in Saint Emilion so would book a full day trip. Thank you Jess and Debbie

An up and a down - Our guide, Emanuelle, has a delightful personality; and on the drive to St Emilion was a fount of information about the Bordeaux area, its wine makers and wine making. Her tour of the village of St Emilion was supremely informative. Sitting in the front of the van, we admired her smooth driving skill. We regret that the rest of our review does not match the remarks of previous reviewers. Yes, our Chateau Balestard La Tonnelle guide explained and showed us the processes of wine making very professionally. And true, the weather prevented us tasting wine on the terrace with views over the far countryside. But the large tasting room was bleak and unwelcoming. We moved swiftly from one wine to the next, with no plain biscuit (as in Britain) to prepare for the next tasting. And for the cost of this tour we would expect some refreshment after the wine tasting before the return drive to Bordeaux. Obviously not coffee before wine tasting, but certainly to end the Chateau visit, preferably with a small local pastry.

Little wine tasting, small winery. - Without a doubt, the place is incredible, the Guide has been very kind despite not speaking Spanish or even trying to. We visited a winery that was very small and they served us very little wine to taste, it is not worth the €85. We only stayed for 40 minutes, with very little travel. We didn't visit any castles, we just observed them from the road. Excellent transfer, attention and punctuality.
