Additional Information
Delight in a 90-minute voyage on the iconic 1920s-style Yacht Northern Lights as it pretty much covers the entirety of Boston Harbor. You can either find comfort in the indoor grand salon zone or make your way to the elevated, open-air deck for an extensive panorama of the Harbor. The highlights of the cruise include awe-inspiring views of Boston’s skyline, Old North Church, Bunker Hill Monument, USS Cassin Young, and the USS Constitution along with the intriguing Boston’s Harbor Islands. Make sure to bring your camera along! If you feel like grabbing a beverage or light eatables, then we have a bar on board where you can pay by credit card.
- Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the departure time to check-in at the ticket booth and obtain boarding passes
- Bring a photo ID that matches the name listed on the reservation
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Minimum drinking age is 21 years
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- There is a climate controlled main cabin with seating, a covered upper deck and an open bow
- Infant seats are available if given advance notice
- Only animals that perform a manual task to assist a person are permitted aboard. Emotional support animals and pets are not permitted.
- Please let us know in advance if assistance is required for boarding
- This cruise is moderately narrated by the Captain. Enjoy commentary on the main sights as we cruise. Please note this is not a fully narrated tour.

The boat departs from Rowes Wharf, directly behind the Boston Harbor Hotel, located at (for GPS) 400 Atlantic Avenue, Boston (02110). Check-in at Rowes Wharf is located in the Ferry Terminal, a climate controlled public space, located on the wharf only steps away from our dock. If guests are lost or running late, please call us at 617-951-2460.

Highly recommended boat tour! - The views from this boat are incredible. The boat itself if lovely and we entered a storm whilst on the boat and it protected us. There’s also 2 decks so that was also nice. It takes you to a lot of nice landmarks. There are announcements of a couple land marks but I wasn’t there for the narration. The view itself sold it to me.

My Boston trip - Relaxing. Great views of the harbor. Good size ship, plenty of seating areas. The weather was perfect; not too cold, not too hot. I’ll consider it again when I come back to Boston.

V/Good experience and tour viewing Boston from the Water - Very good experience and tour viewing Boston from the Water. Boat was very clean with good facilities on board. It seemed better that alternative boats / tours that we seen. Highly Recommend.

Lovely but little narration - We enjoyed the Bar Harbor Sightseeing Cruise as a family of 4 with a 19yr old and a 17yr old. The boat was lovely, and the drink and snack prices were reasonable. We did wish there would’ve been some more narration. Only 5 or 6 things were pointed out, and it was difficult to hear the commentary on the top deck. Besides that, it was a very nice experience.

Weather did not cooperate unfortunately. - The weather wasn’t in our favor. There was a steady downpour and it was very chilly. Limited staff seemed to be involved. There was a large office group that was extremely loud and obnoxious.

Not a full hour tour - Seeing some of the historic sights was nice however I feel the tour was too short. It is supposed to be 1 hour and was only 45 minutes. They delivered 3/4s of the expected trip but didn’t give a 25% discount. I don’t recommend.
