Love History? Then this is the tour for you! - Highlight of our visit to Boston! Can't praise our tour guide, Alvin, enough... if you love history, make Alvin your guide. If you are seeking an historical experience, this tour is for you. Especially, enjoyed the Warren Tavern and the Bell in Hand. Top it off with a ferry ride across the Harbor. This tour was an awesome value too. Ferry ride, 2 drinks, appetizers to share and Cannolies!!! All while sharing stories of Revolutionary history.

Amazing Boston Freedom Trail & historical Tavern visits with a good buddy tour guide (Big Al) - When we decided to visit Boston for a concert & a couple of games at Fenway we decided to make it a week long trip. As a result we had 3 days to fill with activity that had no plans. There was no shortage of options so we had to whittle the multiple options down to only 3 activities. One of the choices we made was this Freedom Trail History & tavern tour and I'm over the top thrilled that we chose this tour. Our tour guide was Big Al and when we arrived for our 3+ hour tour Big Al was already there to greet us. Not only did Big Al really know his Boston history as we made our way along the freedom trail he fit right in with our small group of 6 tourists. He was just like one of us as he showered us with his knowledge of so much American Revolution history. Big Al was beyond fun to have as a tour guide. Not only did he fill our brains with interesting facts & historical stories of the Revolution history and its historical figures but he also took an interest in all of us tourists on a personal level. He showed genuine interest in where we were from and of any stories we had from our own lives. Big Al is just like one of the guys who you'd love to sit and have a beer with which was super good seeing as how this was a tavern tour alongside a history learning tour on the Freedom trail. There were multiple stops along the tour and Big Al gave us a thorough run down at each stop. He answered all of our questions and pointed out some excellent photo locations. The tour took us on a walk of a good portion of the Boston Freedom Trail as well as a cool ride on a Ferry across the inner harbour. We saw so many cool buildings, brick roads, statues, watercraft which included a WWII destroyer & the undefeated USS Constitution from the 1700's. Our trek had us viewing such things as the Boston Massacre spot, the Bunker HIll monument amongst so many historical interests. Keeping in tune with the title of the tour Big Al took us to 2 of the oldest taverns in America (Warren Tavern & Bell in Hand Tavern). Both had been frequented by historical figures like Paul Revere, John Hancock, Samuel Adams, George Washington. Big Al treated us to a refreshing beer and some appetizers during our two tavern stops while the banter between us 6 tourists and Big Al continued on and on just like old buddies. It never once felt like just an instructional tour. It was so much fun to hang with Big Al for a good part of the day. There's no other way to say it other than we can’t say enough about the level of knowledge Big Al has of the history of Boston and of the level of fun he was. We also met some other amazing tourists and many locals from each stop which just enhanced the entire experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone of legal drinking age and if you can I would request Big Al to lead you on the adventure. Thanks so much to Big Al for making this one of our best days in Boston.

Wow! - Wow! We had an awesome tour! We were running late, but because our party of 4 were the only guests booked that day, they were flexible and really went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Alvin is an outstanding guide. He is passionate about Boston, including its history and great food. Do not hesitate to book this tour.
