Duration: 3 hours, 30 minutes
Highlights
  • Long Wharf - Each Boston Whale Watching Cruise is narrated and guided by a naturalist from the noted Whale Center of New England (WCNE). The WCNE has been studying the whales of New England for more than 20 years and its members are recognized worldwide as authorities on whales.

One of the whales you’re likely to spot during a Boston Whale Watching Cruise is the humpback. These Northern hemisphere humpbacks reach an average length of 50 feet, and a weight of about 37 tons! Sadly, they’re also among the most endangered, and its estimated that only 8 percent of their original population remains.

With the data collected on each cruise, WCNE is able to further the understanding of whales and their world. And, their presence on board ensures that your whale watch will be an exciting and educational trip.

Whale sightings on every whale watch. If you do not see a whale on your trip, you will receive a free ticket for a future Boston Whale Watching Cruise.

Fun and educational trip - The crew was friendly and very good at explaining fun whale facts. The boat ride was comfortable and we spent a good amount of time watching the whale that was swimming near our boat.

Amazing Whale Watching - Saw so many Whales up close and even got to see a lot of Dolphins right by the boat! Wear a wind breaker and sunscreen because it gets windy when the boat is moving fast.

Favorite Part of Our Trip - This outing is one of the best. The catamaran takes you out about 30 miles. The ride is smooth and pretty quick. It can get cool sometimes so bring a jacket. We saw a good number of whales diving and breaching the water. One was just a few feet from the boat. Make this attraction a priority on your visit!

Whales, dolphins and shark's oh my!! - We took the 5p trip and had an amazing time. We had numerous (20 ish) whale sightings. We saw a full breech of a whale!! We saw seals, several dolphins, a jumping tuna, sharks and a beautiful sunset. I could not recommend this trip more!! There are options to stand outside for the for the trip in/out to the sanctuary. We went on a 90 degree day and we were SO happy we brought a sweatshirt for the trip. You do not need a sweatshirt if you stay inside the boat. Have a great time!! Money and time well spent!

Terrible - Having a drunk drugged out msn running laps around the boat and falling into my husband and I every time. We had to send my little sister up to the second floor of the boat because we were afraid he would hurt her. She’s 4’8. The best part of the trip was watching the police come aboard and deal with him when we got back to the dock. Never again. Honestly people who had to deal with that should get their money refunded.
