Local Day Trip - Perfect local day tour for getting away but staying close to home (Boston). Matt, our mainland tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and its history. He was very kind and helpful. He showed us where we could grab breakfast when we got to the port. Mark, our driver on the island, was kind and comical. He is a resident of the island and made it enjoyable.

A great overview of the area. - Matt did a great job of giving us very informative info about Boston all the way to ferry and back. Harry filled us in on all the interesting tidbits of the Vineyard.

Both the driver to and... - Both the driver to and from the docks was friendly and entertaining. The guide on Martha's Vineyard was also very good and knowledgeable, HOWEVER, I would recommend the On and Off bus tour instead of the optional fixed bus tour of the island. Gives you more time at any stop you find interesting.

Easy, Convenient & great Martha's Vineyard tour! - This was a fantastic your and I think worthwhile. I saw other reviews that said that had rather done this on their own - I am glad we booked this tour. Rory was great about contacting us and picking us up promptly. We were able to stop at a light house and drive around the area before dropping us off at the ferry. We then took the additional tour with Harry on the Island - he did a great job telling us about tidbits of the island. In fact, I would have been bummed just to have wandered around near the ferry (very touristy) in the rain. Rory then picked us up and drove back into Boston and drop us off at our hotel. This tour made it so easy to enjoy Martha's Vineyard while staying in Boston. It was highly worth booking this trip vs. doing on your own - 5 Stars!!!

But where were the grape vines :) - Booking was easy, confirmation phone call the day before gave us an accurate pickup time. From hotel door pickup to drop off we had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Rory was a very personable and knowledgeable driver for our trip from Boston to Cape Cod, the ferry trip over was as smooth as, we got to explore Oak Bluffs and Edgartown on foot at a leisurely pace and used the local bus (USD8 for day ticket) to travel on the island. Tour group size was ideal for good interaction with other guests. Both towns lovely and worthy of a stay on the island next time. We also received some good guidance on dining options in Boston, meal at Barking Crab near our hotel rounded the trip out perfectly.

Tour Company was Great! - New England Excursions was great at communication and sharing what to expect throughout the tour. I would definitely recommend a excursion with this tour company! I’m trying to plan to take the fall foliage tour in October. Thanks Matt and Jim for a wonderful day!

Not what I expected - Was not what I expected. Had to go to a different port to dock so not much to see in the area. Normal costal town nothing special
