Welcome to Chobe National Park: Boat Safari and Game Drive
Chobe National Park - The day begins with a transfer from Victoria Falls to Kasane in Botswana. The adventure kicks off with a morning boat safari on the Chobe River. Hippos, crocodiles, and incredible birdlife are ready to greet us. Elephants can often be seen bathing and playing in the water, while many animals gather at the riverbanks for a drink.
The boat safari lasts for three hours, followed by lunch. Afterward, we embark on a game drive within Chobe National Park, ensuring a comprehensive exploration. The drive continues until 5:00 PM, when we head to the campsite, where some delightful snacks await.
A Full Day Game Drive in Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park - Rising early at 5:00 AM, guests enjoy a light continental breakfast before setting off on an early morning game drive. This time of day offers a higher chance of spotting active big cats. By mid to late morning, we return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch.”
The afternoon is spent relaxing at the camp, enjoying the refreshing air of the African bush. At 3:00 PM, we take a different route to spot more wildlife. Chobe offers an incredible safari experience, with each game drive being unique. We expect to return to camp by 6:00 PM for dinner.
After dinner, it’s time to reflect on the afternoon’s sightings and share stories with fellow group members.
Wrap Up Safari in Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park - The safari concludes with an early morning game drive aimed at spotting any wildlife missed during the first two days. Rising at 5:00 AM, we embark on a four-hour safari before returning to camp for breakfast. After refreshing, we pack our bags and drive to the park’s exit. With a bit of luck, this will be the highlight of the safari as we may spot more animals on our way out.
We have one last encounter with the Chobe River residents on a boat safari before concluding the tour. Bid farewell to the crocodiles, hippos, and remarkable birdlife in this stunning park.
We then drive back to Victoria Falls via the Kazungula border post, aiming to check into the hotel by 4:30 PM.
