Grand Canyon Tour - Russ is a great guide. Very knowledgeable and experienced. He managed to corral a very diverse group successfully. An excellent tour.

Seeing nature - Tour guide was excellent. The late dinner in Boulder could have been left off 10 hrs more then enough. Without the extra dinner in boulder

SOUTH RIM MAJESTY - In the beginning I was thinking, uhmmmm did I make a mistake? We went to the West Rim, do we really need to go to the South now? Well that was answered VERY quickly once we got there. YES!!! The trip is longer, but the views are SO different. Incredible trip, magnificent views, simply amazing. GO!!!

Great guide - One of the best trips. Excellent guide (Russ) who showed great knowledge, communication skill and kindness to ALL the travelers. One disadvantage is on-board toilet was closed so the bust has to stop at some facilities with restrooms.

Absolutely Breathtaking - We absolutely loved this tour and are so happy it was with Lodovico! Lodovico our guide was everything - informative, attentive, and very funny. The tour itself was lovely a brekkie stop in Boulder City as well a stop in Seligman with a very cool history of Cars and then the amazing Grand Canyon. We were so well informed about history and fun facts that we couldn't fault Lodovico's service as a tour guide. A very long trip made easier with his humour. There was an issue with the bus causing delay which shouldn't reflect on our guide at all as we feel he handled it well, communicated through, and continued on in good spirits even after working an insanely long working day.

Good tour but disappointing dinner - The tour in general was good. However, the dinner arrangement was disappointing. We paid for dinner and were dropped off in a hotel for dinner. However, there was no enough seats such that we (including two kids) had no seats, while the guide simply asked us to sit outside in a December evening. Eventually we had to wait until other tourists completed their dinners. If we knew this we would have brought our own food and would not pay for the dinner they provided.

Eh..not the best - Eh it was ok..the views at the canyon were amazing. However, we seemed to make some unnecessary stops. They also push for an add-on photography tour for $25 - I would not recommend doing this. The guide pitched it as a photography tour but only two photos were taken, one at the sign and one at a view point. A large chunk of time was spent just waiting for people's photos to be taken. I should've opted to explore the rim on my own.

More like a sales pitch - We got picked up from the Excalibur, near enough from the beginning "curt" mentioned about a extra add-on tour for $25 each, we also got bombarded about adding on and additional cost breakfast (over inflated prices) we stopped at boulder city to pick breakfast up, then a stop at selegman and a small further rest break, we eventually got to the grand canyon being bombarded asking us if we wanted a extra tour, if we didn't want this we were forced off the bus and to walk the canyon, fine for us but makes me think if you have disabilities etc your forced to pay, the grand canyon was lovely and a great walk for an hour around, but Kurt insisted we got to angel lodge as soon as possible as there was lots to see. No there was not we stood for quite a while maybe 1.5 hours, the lodge had ran out of sandwiches, wraps and ice cream and it was literally a few gift shops and a restaurant/hotel. We shouldn't have rushed our walk, we eventually got on the bus and first stop back was kingman for 15 minutes and then boulder city for 30 minutes for dinner we could have missed this out and went straight to Vegas, but of course they are getting a commission from your dinner if you decide to buy at the over inflated prices, also advising us to tip $10 per person, tips are for good service, not constant Hou ding of buying extras etc etc, was more like a sales pitch the entire time, I would advice to pay more and avoid this company.

Bus ran on deflated tires - Tour guide Lodo was a nice gentleman, he was sharing histories of the Grand Canyon the Hoover dam and everything went well while on the way to the Canyons. However the bus service was terrible. On our way back about 10 miles towards Boulder City few of us smelled burning rubber and the the rear passenger tire was flat. We rushed and informed the team, while the bus took a stop at Boulder City the driver continuously said the bus was fine we could see it was tilted on the left side. The tire was bad and yet he kept saying get on the bus it's ok. Once we drive to Vegas the hot air will inflate the tire. What a bellony!! We called the cops and the Nevada PD showed up, asked the driver to request a new bus...we waited 2 hrs almost around 12:30 am he got a mechanic and he did do some shady work and we got on the bus..all of us requested a Uber ride or another transport to Vegas...nopes..they said bus was fine...this is so dangerous and unexpected of a tour company...I am disappointed that I almost risked my life on the bus..I am pretty sure most of the passengers will give a zero rating to Windstar bus service ..

Would not recommend to anyone - Older folks please read in full: I don't usually leave reviews but read below if you're planning on taking this tour. Pros: the guide Kevin was very helpful and approachable. Cons: 1. Bus is old, seats are tight and the air con doesn't work properly, it was either freezing or super hot. 2. It takes you forever to get there, and when we finally get to the canyon we had tops 3hrs in total. For a trip that started at 6am and brought us back at 23:00! Yup, at night. The thing is, it stops at some really unnecessary places and the bus is slow. My tip would be, if you're in a group of 2 or more people and can drive, please do, you will get there way faster and see way more. Now to the most upsetting part. In the description of the package is not clearly stated how things actually work when there. The guide told us that they'd stop in two locations in the canyon, spot 1 and spot 2, which according to him it's the best place. He said that if you wanted to stay on the bus from spot 1 to spot 2 you'd need to pay an extra $25 per person, and if not you could walk between the two locations and meet the bus at the spot 2. The issue is that it's a 2.4 miles (4km) walk in the hot sun. And as we have a total of max 3 hrs there, that would not leave much time to see the last location, specially if you can't walk fast or have some mobility problem. There were a bunch of people complaining about this last minute surprise but the guide explained that it was company's policy and he couldn't do anything. The above is sold as the "guided tour" but you can't opt out of it and stay in the bus to the second spot. Very misleading and borderline illegal. I didn't personally ordered food but it seemed that it wasn't worth as I heard a few complaints. I would absolutely NOT recommend this to anyone, specially for the older folks. It will cost you an arm and a leg for a suboptimal experience of a great place. I'm giving one star because the site doesn't allow to give 0. 🤷
