Totally Excellent Flat Irons Tour - I was on a short trip to Boulder prior to a wedding. I'm a "flatlander" and wasn't sure what to expect. I trained a bit prior to the trip to attempt to handle the altitude and am generally a pretty physically fit person. When I met up with Preston I was surprised to find that I was the only person to sign up that day. I told him the hikes I had completed since my arrival, explained how I had been training, and told him that I wanted to be challenged. Preston did not disappoint. He took me up Green mountain from a trail by the ranger cabin. This included a 3,000 foot elevation gain across 2.5 miles up a rock scramble. As a female traveling alone I felt safe and comfortable. Preston is not only an intuitive guide but an excellent conversationalist. We chatted the whole time. He shared stories of his international travel, trips he's planned, and work as a guide. Preston is a truly awesome person and you would be remiss to not work a hike with him into your schedule. 10/10 would hike with again.

Epic Hike up Green Mountain - As a flatlander and female traveling alone I signed up for this tour not knowing what to expect. I am a fit and active individual and did my best to train for the altitude prior to heading out. Imagine my surprise when I showed up for the hike and found out that I was the only person that signed up that day. I met Preston and we talked I told him about the hikes I had done the last few days and how I had trained. He agreed to give me a challenging hike. He took me up a route that gave us 3,000 feet of elevation up a 2.5 mile rock scramble. It was both challenging and fun. Not only does he have intimate knowledge of the area but he is a great conversationalist. I felt very comfortable hiking with him and we chatted the entire time. Preston has great stories from his world travels and seasonal guide work and is just an all around great human. 10/10 would hike with Preston again. He goes out of his way to make you comfortable and give you the experience that you would want.
