High Atlas Mountains - Embark on an unforgettable journey through eastern Morocco in a comfortable, modern, air-conditioned minibus. The adventure begins bright and early at 7:30 a.m., with a friendly guide picking you up from your Marrakech hotel or a nearby meeting point. As the journey unfolds, cross the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, pausing for a relaxing coffee and bathroom break at the foothills. Enjoy sweeping views from a scenic terrace before continuing to climb to the highest mountain pass in North Africa, reaching an elevation of 2,262 meters. From there, descend into the enchanting world of Ait Ben Haddou, home to one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs.

Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Discover the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its earthen architecture and cinematic history. With a local guide included, wander through its ancient alleys and learn about its role in trans-Saharan trade and as a backdrop for famous films like Gladiator. After the tour, enjoy lunch in the scenic and historic surroundings of the kasbah.

Ouarzazate - Continuing on the first day, head to Ouarzazate, famously known as the Hollywood of Africa. This city has served as the backdrop for numerous blockbuster films, including The Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia. Take in the cinematic landscapes of a place often called “The Gateway to the Desert.”

For those interested, there’s the option to visit a film studio and explore Kasbah Taourirt, the city’s historic medina. Alternatively, enjoy a quick glimpse from the vehicle.

Skoura - Continue the journey along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, beginning in the town of Skoura, where you’ll enjoy views of a lush palm tree oasis stretching across the landscape.

El Kelaa M’gouna - As the journey continues along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, reach Kelaat M’gouna, famously known as Rose Valley, Morocco’s rose capital. Each year, this town hosts an international festival celebrating its fragrant blooms. Take a break at a local café before moving on to the stunning Dades Valley.

Dades Gorges - Upon arriving in the Dades Valley, drive through the stunning landscape, taking in the diverse trees and lush greenery that surround you. Next, visit Tisdrine, a viewpoint offering a breathtaking panoramic sight of the winding zigzag road below. Finally, settle into a private guesthouse in Dades, complete with an en-suite bathroom, where you can relax and unwind. The day ends with a delicious Moroccan dinner, enjoyed in the peaceful and beautiful setting of the valley.

Tinghir - The following morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the guesthouse before departing for the stunning Todra Gorge, traveling through Tinghir city and the scenic Todra Valley.

Gargantas del Todra - The breathtaking beauty of Todra Gorge leaves you wondering why it isn’t counted among the world’s natural wonders. After lunch on the second day, continue the journey onward to Merzouga.

Erfoud - On the way, pass through Erfoud, known as Morocco’s capital of palm dates and fossils.

Merzouga Desert - Overnight at a Desert Camp
The base will be Merzouga, nestled deep within the desert. After a camel ride across the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, arrive at a traditional luxury Berber desert camp to spend the night. Enjoy a delicious dinner and breakfast at the camp, accompanied by lively traditional music, before beginning the final day’s journey back to Marrakech.

Merzouga Desert - Early in the morning, wake up to catch the stunning sunrise from the nearby dunes, then return to the camp for a hearty breakfast and a chance to freshen up. Once ready, set off on a morning camel trek to experience the breathtaking desert sunrise from atop the dunes. After riding back to the other side, begin the journey back to Marrakech, leaving behind the captivating landscape of Merzouga. Along the way, there will be stops for cafés and restroom breaks as needed.

In the afternoon, pause at Kelaat M’gouna for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, continue with a scenic evening drive through the beautiful Atlas Mountains, stopping occasionally for rest and photo opportunities. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, bringing this unforgettable tour to a close and leaving you with memories to cherish forever.

My first Moroccan experience - I saw a DE Angela EN Facebook post offering POR Marakech and DEsierto tours, DE the first time I contacted Angela DE was always very EN ta with my messages and responding on time, despite the difference in schedules that she and I have in Morocco. I had NO expectations DE what the trip would be but it has been a beautiful trip with beautiful panoramic views, maybe something different EN what I can see and find in my country. I tell you days before DE arrival in Morocco, Angela has created a WhatsApp group to be EN contact with her and her team and the rest DE the families who also do the tour. The day I arrived in Marrakech I was already waiting POR me EN a van, Hassan Moroccan boy has picked me EN the airport, very friendly and atto, he has taken me to the hotel where I had a room for myself as I was traveling in traveller mode only. It has subsequently led me to exchange euros into dirhams. POR NO idea the currency DE Morocco ES MAD (Moroccan dirhams) and then we went to eat couscous EN la medina. Marrakech city ES chaotic but charming, I got lost many times POR the streets EN midst DE souks but in the end I always went to the medina. There you can find DE souvenir shops that is full POR all over, the guys offering, I felt that they NO longer attack you to buy and they do not insist, and if they do pay NO attention to them. If you are going to take a picture EN a stall first ask permission, because people get upset if you take a picture and buy NO, just like those with the monkeys and snakes. Day 2 of the tour I had breakfast EN the hotel DE Marrakech ES a typical simple breakfast with coffee, juice, bread and a Moroccan grommet. Hassan then went POR the full group to start the tour towards the Sahara DE Desert EN Merzouga. EN route we have gone to the sites that the itinerary indicates Ait Ben Hadddou and Alto atlas among others, one DE these are sites don DE have recorded films from years ago as the mummy, gladiator among others. We stopped to eat and get to the hotel, POR night we had a Moroccan dinner with tajine. Day 3 breakfast ready to leave for Merzouga, passing POR the Gorges DE Todras and other panoramic views, until you reach Merzouga don DE este el campam ENto and most expected DESIERTO DE SAHARA, great and beautiful dunes, a beautiful experience that once in a lifetime we should live and look at the beautiful landscape ES that DE la medio del mundo we have as it is this beautiful village of Merzouga and its dunes. POR the afternoon we made the camel EN group to go and watch the sunset and we made Sandboard. Very funny for everyone. The distance DE DE never before to look at the DEcer sunset maybe we took about 20 to 30 minutes DE trip, where ES was there a couple of hours looking at the dunes and sunset, it is beautiful! Loved it! Then EN group and DE then the boys there have their famous Berber party. The guys took some pictures of us under the stars and were very beautiful experience with desire DE return! Day 4 we went EN quad bikes to see the sunrise, honestly it was NO better as there was a lot of mist and NO good perception of the sunrise but ES nice to see something different than what we are used to. We returned to the Jima and DE breakfast, and DE Marrakech to take our plane back to our origins. The experience ES good EN, and as I said before once in your life to know Morocco, I have been very eager DE return to the country. People ES friendly, men are NO stalkers as they told me before coming to Morocco. But you have to take care and caution EN as everywhere there will always be danger. EN If my first trip to Morocco has been spectacular and I want to come back soon and get to know the rest DE the cities, I leave with a great experience EN cia and as I said in the beginning I came without expectations NO knew what I expected and I leave with the expectation DE return to Morocco. Thank you so much to everyone Angela, Hassan, David our driver, the camping guys Ali, Mohammed, EN all thank you very much POR making my first visit was spectacular, I highly recommend ESte tour as long as you are an adventurer, because if you are impatient to the long stretches, the heat to 40 degrees in the middle of summer July seeks another experience, but still it is something you should enjoy once!
