DAY 1 : MARRAKECH – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE - VALLEY OF ROSES – DADES VALLEY
Dades Gorges - Depart from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco at 2260 meters. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou for a one-hour walk to explore the culture and stunning landscapes of the village. Located in the foothills on the southern slopes of the High Atlas in the Province of Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou is the most renowned ksar in the Ounila Valley. It is a remarkable example of southern Moroccan architecture, featuring a collective grouping of dwellings within defensive walls reinforced by angle towers and a baffle gate. The houses range from modest to small urban castles with high angle towers and clay brick motifs, alongside community buildings. This site is registered with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre. After exploring, enjoy lunch there. Post-lunch, continue through Ouarzazate to reach the Dades Valley, known as the “valley of 1000 Kasbahs,” and spend a fantastic night there.
Tizi n Tichka - We will have two stops at Tizi n Tichka:
- The first stop, after about an hour of driving, is for breakfast or a Moroccan cup of tea.
- The second stop, at the top of the High Atlas at 2260 meters, is for panoramic photos.
Ait Ben Haddou - Spend about 1.5 hours visiting the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, followed by 40 minutes for lunch.
Ouarzazate - Stop in Ouarzazate to visit the Ouarzazate studio for those interested. The entrance fee is 7 Euros per person (optional).
Merzouga Desert - Our aim is to experience a 3-day trip in the Sahara Desert.
DAY 2 : DADES VALLEY – TODGHA GORGE – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA ERG CHEBBI
Merzouga Desert - After a restful sleep, enjoy a delicious breakfast with fresh air from the village. Visit the Dades Gorges, then continue to Merzouga, crossing Boumalne Dades and visiting the Todgha Gorge (300 meters high) in Tinghir. The Todra Gorge, located on the east side of the High Atlas Mountains, is globally recognized as one of the most spectacular canyons. Have lunch on the road, visit the old irrigation system, and continue to Merzouga. Upon arrival, ride camels to the desert camp, watch the sunset, and spend an unforgettable night in the camp. The desert is perfect for adventurous camel treks and camping under the starry skies.
Tinerhir - Visit the village of Tinghir, meet local people, and see how the Berber village life is in this area.
Todgha Gorge - Spend about 30 minutes walking in this amazing place.
Merzouga - Find camels waiting for you, ride them into the dunes of the Merzouga desert, and spend the night in a luxury camp.
DAY 3 : MERZOUGA –Kelaa Mgouna - ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH
Marrakech - Early in the morning, watch the sunrise while riding camels back to the hotel. Have breakfast and return to Marrakech via the Draa Valley in your private comfortable transport, with stops for photos and lunch on the road.
El Kelaa M’gouna - Stop for lunch in the Roses Valley of Kelaat Mgouna.
Tizi n Tichka - Cross the High Atlas Mountains at Tizi n Tichka to return to Marrakech.
