A Wonderful Museum - A very interesting museum about not only the L&N railline, but the history of rail in Bowling Green and Kentucky. Quiet, comfortable, accessible, (the museum, the Pullman cars I don't know about.) Nice gift shop and courteous staff.

Great Side trip!! - This was a great little side trip in Bowling Green. We did the Lost River Cave boat tour and had a couple more hours left in us so we checked out the museum. We made the last tour of the day with Cameron. He was wonderful, a little bit shy at first and once he got going his love of trains and knowledge was outstanding!! He spent all kinds of time explaining little extras during the train tour and gave us a glimpse of the exhibits that are currently under construction. As a nurse i am looking forward to the hospital car that will be ready in the next couple of years. We had tons of questions and he was awesome!! Thanks Cameron!

The lore of the rails in a fascinating tour. - My wife and I engaged in a fascinating tour of an historic train, which has been refurbished by the Historic RailPark in Bowling Green, KY. I have always loved trains, but this look into the past and the fascinating body of knowledge gained with my new understanding of the ins and outs of this passenger line, sprinkled liberally with intriguing stories of the characters who interacted with the railway made the price of admission more than worthwhile. As a disabled man, I appreciated the fact that this tour was handicapped-friendly. This is a must for anyone who visits Bowling Green and who loves the lore of the rails!

Kentucky's L&N History - Fantastic capsule of the L&N! An entire train is part of the tour, with captivating miniature sets in the depot, and lots of other historical displays upstairs - including the part the area railroads played in the civil war.

Nostalgic look at travel - Fun to see the restored rail cars. Brought back memories of traveling by rail. The tour guide was able to answer all questions and give a meaningful tour. It was great to see the "luxury" mode of travel which rarely exists in the US today. The model train display was also interesting to see along with the dedication of the people who keep it alive and operational.

Fascinating Family Experience - We enjoy visiting museums and this is a very special gem! Take a stroll down memory lane at the Historic Railpark and Train Museum as you see the many artifacts, train cars, and even the building itself was an L&N depot station. The museum is self guided, but highly recommend taking a guided tour of the train cars. If you have a train enthusiast in your life, definitely recommend this stop on your next adventure!

Great indoor activity - It was a cold day after an icy night before - museum was a great indoor activity. We had a personalized tour as we were the only ones in the museum at that time. Really enjoyed walking through the restored train cars and learning about the postal car and Owney the mail dog. Also enjoyed the museum exhibits (self-paced) about Rosie the Riveter, Pullman Porters, and more - all set in an old railroad station. Well-appointed store and a model train display. Would like to go back when the hospital car and caboose are done being renovated.

Very Interesting - I think the tour has great historical value! Being inside a dining car, and actually standing in that small space, gives you a whole new perspective of how hard all of the porters had to work. The "kitchen" was an amazing feat, given the tools they had and the work they did. Sometimes in our modern world, we forget...this was a great reminder of how we are so spoiled in travel now.
