  • Mercado Publico Porto Alegre - In this space we will visit the oldest restaurant in the city, the mark of the flood that occurred in the city in 1941 and also a point of interest with African traditions, Bará do Mercado Público.
  • Praca da Alfandega - One of the main squares in the historic center, in the surrounding area we will pass Farol Santander, Memorial do Rio Grande do Sul and the Museu de Artes do Rio Grande do Sul, the main cultural centers of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul.
  • Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana - The famous “pink house” of Porto Alegre, and one of the main cultural centers in the state. Here, we will learn a little about the history of the building and visit the “poet’s room”, the place where the poet and writings Mário Quintana lived for 12 years.
  • Basilica Nossa Senhora Das Dores - The oldest religious temple in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul still standing, it is one of the places that hides one of the city’s most famous urban legends, the legend of the “cursed towers”.
  • Orla do Guaiba - The main postcard of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul is the sunset at Guaíba. There is the final point of our walk, with options for tours, food and the beautiful landscape of the city.

On this walk through the historic center of Porto Alegre, we will tell you many stories about the geographic, political and social formation of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. We begin our walk in front of the city’s Public Market, one of the main commercial centers since the beginning of the city’s occupation, then we will continue to Praça da Alfândega, with the main cultural centers of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, and continue to Orla do Guaíba, passing by the city’s main postcards, such as Farol Santander, the Rio Grande do Sul Arts Museum, the Casa de Cultura Mário Quintana and Basílica Nossa Senhora das Dores.

The end of the walk will be with the beautiful sunset of Guaíba at Usina do Gasologista, the favorite landscape of Porto Alegre residents.

The walk takes place every day, with a minimum of 2 participants, from 3pm to 5pm, accompanied by a Tourist Guide registered with the Ministry of Tourism.
