44th Cherry Blossom Festival
The Cherry Blossom Festival is a large celebration event that receives a large audience every year. The Festival’s activities take place in the presentation arena, the food court, the Cerejeiras Forest and the Planetarium.
The event features performances by folk dance groups, singers and dancers from the community and Taiko groups, traditional Japanese drums, as well as summit sessions and an exhibition of paintings on Japanese culture in the Planetarium.
The public can taste several typical dishes such as Udon, Yakisoba, Temaki, Tempura, Sushi, Gyoza, Sakura-moti and much more.
In the Forest, visitors will be able to enjoy the blossoms of the “Sakura” cherry trees in a delicious “Hanami”: the art of observing the flowers.
As a side attraction, “Tanabata”: the 4th Star Festival. Write your requests on the consecrated strips of paper (“tanzaku”) that will be burned during the closing ceremony, taking the requests to the stars.
