A wonderful day! - Although we had booked to do some hiking to the waterfalls, forest fires near Porto meant accessing parts of the National park were off limits. Detours and our guide Tomas did a wonderful job of pivoting, keeping us informed and still gave us a wonderful day touring some of the villages, having a magnificent lunch and ended the afternoon with kayaking on a river. We felt our experience was just as engaging even though it wasn't what we had planned. Tomas looked after us with great care and dedication.

Wonderful small group expedition beautifully led by Tomas - We went with Tomas on a wonderful Detours trip yesterday to the Peneda Geres National Park. Initially we had been booked to do the Paiva Walkways but because of the devastating wildfires this alternative was offered. We were kept thoroughly advised by the team about the options and what the new trip entailed. We met lovely people in our group of 7 and Tomas was a delight in leading the tour. He engaged with everyone making us welcome and obviously had a rapport with the locals in the village. In addition to walking in the Park, we also had a beautiful kayaking trip across the river and a swim which was introduced because the wildfires restricted where we could go in the Park. Tomas was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly recommend him and his colleagues for a tour. Our hearts go out to everyone having to deal with the wildfires.

Amazing place to see - Carlos was an amazing guide. Made the best of things with plans being g altered due to wildfires. Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and the kayaking (part of the change in plans). Would highly recommend.

Penes Gerês National Park Tour - Best day of our 10 day trip to Portugal! The scenery was beautiful and Teresa provided a relaxed, fun-filled day. She taught us so much about the area and answered all our questions. Highly recommend this tour if you want to get out of the city and into nature!

Favorite thing we did in Portugal - Our experience in Portugal was absolutely unforgettable! Carlos was a fantastic guide with extensive knowledge of the park's history, which truly enriched our visit. The views were breathtaking, offering countless photo opportunities that captured the magic of the landscape. I only wish we had more time to explore! I highly recommend booking this experience—you won't regret it!

An amazing day in Geres - This tour was amazing, it was way more than I expected. Tomás showed us a lot of beautiful places. We went swimming at two waterfall, there was time for everything, we went at a moderate speed that fit everyone. Also we hiked up to viewpoints, fed horses and had a great Picknick at one of the waterfalls. I highly recommend though keep the weather in mind - midd September was great and even perfect for the very cold water, but in summers it can get really hot.

Amazing experience! - What an amazing place! The quaint small villages and the scenery were something to see! Our guide, Hernan, was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable ! He took us to spectacular outlooks and his secret waterfall. He carried our lunches quite far uphill to picnic at a secluded, beautiful area. He made sure we were enjoying ourselves and were safe! The whole day was an amazing experience!
