Kick off the excursion with a visit to Bran Castle where the castle’s history and the authentic versus mythical tales of the ruthless Vlad Dracula - The Impaler are shared. There’s an opportunity to purchase various ‘Dracula’ souvenirs from the market just outside the castle, as well as local craft pieces made from wool and wood.
Next up, is the Peles Palace in Sinaia. This attraction will be the pride of your day; the intricate decorations in each room will transport you back to the start of the 20th century and leave you in awe of the artistry.
Course finishes with a tasting session at the renowned Rhein-Azuga Cellars, which supplied the Romanian Royal Court between the two World Wars. Visitors can learn about the traditional method of making sparkling wine, a technique used in Champagne, that requires a second in-bottle wine fermentation period of no less than 12 months. The Rhein Cellars of Azuga were established in 1892 and were acknowledged between the World Wars as the ‘Royal Court Supplier’ of Romania.
