• Rasnov - We will visit the famous Rasnov citadel, that dates from the 14th century and learn about its amazing history. Afterwards, we will continue our journey to Fortress Valley Cave, a very modern cave made of a special sort of fiberglass, which is strong, light, and does not emit any substances. We will also serve a traditional Romanian lunch followed by some Palinca tasting at a famous distillery!

In the early day, you will be collected from your Brasov lodging and transported to the picturesque town of Rasnov, known for its medieval and ancient citadel that originated from the 14th century.

Your adventurous expedition will proceed to the Fortress Valley Cave, which is designed using the latest cave conservation ideas. The pathways have been constructed with a unique type of fiberglass that’s robust, lightweight, and doesn’t release any materials.

On its initial year, a concert was held inside the cave by Brasov Philharmonic in a section named the Cathedral due to its remarkable stature and extraordinary sound characteristics.

Once you’re done engulfing all the fascinating narratives about the cave, you’ll be treated to a traditional lunch to make sure the palinca doesn’t upset your equilibrium :)

And yes, you will also get to explore Rasnov’s distillery. Here, the owner will guide you through the fundamental process of palinca distillation. Witness the variety of flavors crafted here and if you’re up to it, feel free to sample the liquors.
