Magnificent experience - The best of the entire trip! We did it with Valentín who is a professional, very friendly and attentive. The landscape is spectacular, any photo you see does not do it justice... I would repeat without hesitation

An enjoyable day exploring Piatra Craiului - My partner and I shared a good days hiking with our excellent guide Radu, who shared his knowledge of the outdoors and Romanian culture. The trek was well-matched to our overall ability and took in various points of interest, with a chance to study the local flora and fauna.

Amazing day with Valentin - Our hike with Valentin was great. He picked us up in a modern car from Brasov and drove us to Zarnesti. We hiked for a few hours, stopped at a hiker’s cabana for lunch (they serve hot food), then we finished by walking through the amazing Zarnesti Canyon. Valentin was so friendly - he talked about his childhood and his career and answered our many questions about Romania. He really made the experience special and I would highly recommend the tour. The hike can be tailored to you based on experience, age, fitness etc. so is suitable for everyone.

Amazing experience - Excellent experience, we really enjoyed the hike and our guide Radu was amazing. Very accommodating (went with our pace), showed us the best views, told us stories from the area and from his childhood. We really recommend this hike!

Best Hike of my life to date. - Went on the “Difficult” Hike with my best friend. Took just over 7 hours and totaled just over 10miles with our peak elevation at just about 6,000ft. It was the most gorgeous Hike. Two days before our guide called and confirmed our reservation and made sure we were in physical shape for the hike and went over a few different trails we could take. Our guide spoke perfect english and was amazing from start to finish. He chose the perfect route. We started in the beautiful gorges and made our way up through the forest until we hit the “cabana” where we stopped for a quick hot tea and apple cake. Then we really started our ascent up the mountain. Had to use two cables to help us climb up to the summit. The views were spectacular. Absolutely recommend for anyone in shape and ready for an absolute beautiful and breath taking hike! If I get a chance to book again with the guide we had we absolutely will. Radu was extremely knowledgeable and a joy to hike with.

Tragic experience - The guide was careless and senseless. By his behavior we risked to be mauled by a pack of huge shepherd dogs. The only reason this didn’t happen was that a puppy and her mother had tagged along us and kept us company. Despite the fair warning of the shepherd dogs, he said to move forward ‘cause he knew what to do. The mother of the puppy was clearly unsure but followed with her puppy ‘cause she trusted us, we had fed them a few minutes earlier. The huge dogs came to us, circled us, they were about to attack us, when the puppy got scared and ran away. They pursued him instead, and killed him. After that, the guide was still giving nature the fault of this, while it was his recklessness; he was prompting me to continue the tour and go for mushrooms, showing eagles to me when I was just plain shocked, while the puppy was literally being mauled and his mother wailing. I had to insist to stop the tour and be taken home. We risked our lives, got a puppy killed despite having been fairly warned by the pack of the shepherd dogs, and he still was as cool as fresh air. The experience was shocking and this is the last time I’ll count on TripAdvisor or any other gig economy company for a tour experience. They make selection of the guides through reviews and this is completely unprofessional. All of this is true by my honor and I am ready to testify it again and again.
