Wonderful Experience - Of course any review will be influenced by seeing bears or not and… …we did! Tiberio was our guide and was both hugely knowledgeable as well as giving a sense of calm as, of course, we were hoping to meet wild bears. We reached the hide and were very lucky as within ten minutes a male bear came into sight and must have stayed around for about 15-20 minutes (total guess as we were so absorbed). We were also visited by a pair of adolescent foxes. A fantastic evening and one we will always remember. Thank you!

Pure nature experience! - A very nice experience! In nature you never know what will happen and which animals you will see, but we could observe several bears and foxes interacting with each other. A great experience with natural behavior of the animals!

Amazing :) - I booked this trip twice as bears were the main reason I came to Braşov and I wanted to maximise my chances of seeing them. On the first trip we were incredibly lucky and within 2 minutes of arrival at the hide a large male Bear walked into the clearing in front of us and stayed there for the best part of 2 hours. Several other bears made appearances ( a female juvenile, young cub and another adult bear) they didn’t stay long as the large Male was top of the hierarchy. On the 2nd trip we visited a different hide and waited 2 hours, after which we were awarded with 2 bears turning up at a similar time ( young sibling bears) and a 3rd bear turned up. It was great to see the interaction between these with 2 chasing the 3rd off- he waited patiently until the other 2 left and made another appearance. I feel very privileged and grateful I got to observe bears in their natural habitat. It is a shame they are lifting the protection on the bears as they are magnificent creatures. The guide Tiberius was brilliant, he made us feel safe and he was very knowledgeable. I appreciated the fact that upon hearing we had booked on again he promised to take us to a different hide next time and he was true to his word. At the second hide we waited longer and it was getting late by the time the bears arrived but he gave us some extra time and patiently waited allowing us time to observe the bears. Thank you for an experience of a lifetime trip :)

Well organized trip to see bears in their natural environment. - Very nice experience. Guide was very pleasant, broad knowledge. After only a few minutes we saw the first bear. Later we saw 2 more and also 2 foxes. You see the animals in their natural environment in a very respectful way. Absolutely recommended!

Recommended - The guide is a pleasant person who talks with great knowledge and passion about both the bears and Romania in general. Interesting and educational. We were lucky enough to see 3 different bears up close. Definitely recommended, if you have the opportunity. (Colinda and Skip, The Netherlands).

Unique - We loved it. You have to be patient to wait silently for a bear to decide to appear but in the end he appeared and walked in front of the shelter from where we were watching him. The guide knew the subject in depth and was very nice.

Not Great - It was described to be "with an English speaking guide." The tour subcontractor spoke English, but sent us off with a driver that did not speak one word of English. The sub had an eight person van. Four of us "seniors" we're at the pick up point early. Eight younger people, probably not all together in the same group were late, however they were given preferential treatment riding in the van with the English speaking guide. When we got to the viewing site, they were directed to the only eight chairs available at the viewing window while the four of us were stuck on chairs pulled up behind them. In my opinion, he should have only taken eight customers, but probably saw an opportunity to make a few extra bucks so grabbed a driver and passenger vehicle and squeezed in four more. Unrelated to the viewing, the toilet stop fuel station had no toilet paper, no soap and no paper towels or air dryer. Only positive, we did see bears.
