From May to November, your chauffeur guide will pick you up at your Brasov accommodation in the dusk hours before embarking on a journey in a cool, air-conditioned minivan or car. A short 30-minute road trip will be taken through the forests encircling Brasov.
Along the way, you’ll be enthralled by interesting facts about the brown bears: how they can attain colossal sizes - with some males tipping the scales at an astounding 770 pounds (350 kgs). Discover their wilderness existence, and the significance of their excellent sense of smell essential for their longevity.
We’ll connect with the Park Ranger who will acquaint us with the regulations for respectfully coexisting in the bears’ territory. A brief 20-minute walk or a jeep ride will carry us to the observation point from where we’ll spy on the brown bears in their natural surroundings. Among the sights to capture will be male bears, females along with their cubs, and the interaction between them.
After a roughly two-hour watch, we’ll retreat from the viewing area and make our way back to the minivan. Your Brasov domicile will be your final drop-off point.
Expect to carry back unforgettable recollections of the breathtaking wild life of the brown bear as experienced in the forest.
