Situated amidst an enchanting French-style park, Lednice is a beautiful castle. It’s a constituent of the Lednice- Valtice complex and is undoubtedly its most striking structure. Rightfully designated as a UNESCO heritage site, the castle holds immense beauty. Its current facade was finalized between 1846 and 1858, when Prince Alois II proclaimed Lednice as the perfect location for summer recreation and the castle was remodelled into a summer retreat. The original Ledrice castle, which bore more resemblance to a fortress, had been in place since the 13th century.
