- Rathfinny Wine Estate - Experience the Traditional Method, Vintage Sussex Sparkling wines that truly reflect our terroir. These wines are crafted from hand-harvested grapes, whole-bunch pressed, and carefully matured on lees and in bottles to develop rich, autolytic notes, with a low dosage to highlight the purity of our fruit. Drop-in tastings are available at the Cellar Door, allowing you to sample before purchasing. This is an optional part of the tour, and tasting is complimentary.
- Long Man Brewery - At Long Man Brewery, our story is as rich and robust as the beers we create. Located in the charming village of Litlington in East Sussex, our historic flint barn has been the birthplace of award-winning, high-quality, balanced, and highly drinkable cask and keg beers since 2012.
Drop-in tastings are available at the Brewery Door, allowing you to sample before selecting your refreshing pint. A café is also available on-site, offering tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes, and more.
- The Long Man of Wilmington - The Long Man of Wilmington, or Wilmington Giant, is a hill figure on the steep slopes of Windover Hill near Wilmington, East Sussex, England. It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) northwest of Eastbourne and 1⁄3 mile (540 m) south of Wilmington. Locally, the figure was once often referred to as the Green Man. The Long Man stands 235 feet (72 m) tall, holds two “staves,” and is designed to appear in proportion when viewed from below.
Once believed to date back to the Iron Age or even the Neolithic period, a 2003 archaeological investigation revealed that the figure may have been created in the Early Modern era – the 16th or 17th century AD. From a distance, the figure seems to be carved from the underlying chalk, but the modern figure is made from white-painted breeze blocks and lime mortar.
