  • North Stradbroke Island - Take the ferry, get a coffee, and relax enjoying the amazing views of Moreton Bay on this 45 minutes crossing.
  • Brown Lake - Brown Lake is pure rainwater tinged brown by the native tea trees, also known as Lake Bummiera, some say this hidden treasure has rejuvenating waters.
Learn about the island and the historic and cultural importance of the Quandamooka People. Get refreshed and reenergized at the fresh waters of this beautiful lake.
  • Cylinder Beach - From one of the most impressive lookouts at the island, take amazing pictures and go for a quick walk at this paradisiac beach.
  • North Gorge Walk - The big attraction of the day: The Gorge Walk.
On this 40-45 minutes walk, you will enjoy the amazing views of the Coral Sea at the South Pacific Ocean, and its incredibly rich marine life: great chances to spot manta rays, turtles, dolphins, and much more.
  • Point Lookout - It’s time for lunch at Point Lookout.
As we like giving our travelers multiple choices, you can either bring your own lunch or buy a takeway and enjoy a picnic with amazing views.
  • Amity Point Beach - It’s then time to relax at the beach, so the tour will be headed to Amity Point.
Your tour guide will take you on a walk (secret place) to search for koalas in the wild and, if koalas-spotting is not your thing, again you have options: enjoy even more time at the beach.

Awesome day tour! - An awesome tour with a great guide! Easy to find meeting place and a great way to see a lot when you don’t have your own vehicle. We went koala searching, spotted kangaroos on our coastal hike/walk, and saw whales breaching! Highly recommend for a day out!

Amazing! - Fantastic day trip, I have seen more then 12 whales! It was amazing. Great tour guide, funny and caring. ( also spotted koala's, sea turtles, dolphins, pelicans and kangaroos) loved the music in the bus but we were most of the day outside, exploring this beautiful island.

Just do this tour. - From the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off was a wonderful experience. Rob was a guide whose local knowledge made the entire day special. Dolphins, Koalas, Kangaroos, turtles, dolphins and even a whale in the Bay. Who could ask for more. Oh yes and the Prawn shack!

Most beautiful sunset - If you love wildlife and nature, this is a must-do. You can meet koalas, kangaroos, humpback whales, and turtles, if you're lucky. But the most incredible thing of this tour was sunset on the way back. It was a perfect day, seriously. Thank you for making me a lovely, wonderful day.

An amazing expereince - I organised this tour for my wife and she loved it! We visited a few different places. Rob was fantastic and gave us a few recommendations which were spot on! Thanks Rob! We received more than the cost of the tour for sure! This is something we will definitely do again and have already recommended to friends and family.

Coast and wildlife at its best - I found the sunset tour to North Stradbroke Island with Hit the Road Tours amazing despite the not so good weather on the day. Katie our tour guide was excellent, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She even instigated the cheerful interaction between us all aboard the minibus. Her suggestion to try the delicious prawn wrap/roll for lunch from the Prawn Shack was highly recommendable. The highlight of this tour for me was the golden walk, which offered amazing scenery and the opportunity to see wild and free koalas & kangaroos on the island together with dolphins & baby turtles off the coast. The sun finally came out for our sunset return ferry trip, which ended a wonderful day. I can highly recommend this tour and I would love to come back and do it all again.
