Down Under and Personal - This sanctuary is fabulous! They have a variety of native Australian animals in a lovely private park near Brisbane. I opted for the full wilderness experience. It’s pricey, but you get to hand feed kangaroos, hold a python (if you want to), have a front row seat at the bird show, see the inside of a platypus borrow, pet a koala, hold a raptor on your arm, and have a wonderful guide for two hours. I just loved it!

Fantastic Experience - It's taken me 50 years to finally visit Australia and meet my favourite animal, the koala. I purchased a koala experience in order to get up close and personal. It is best to book this as early as possible as it sells out pretty quickly. No, you can not cuddle them as it stresses them out, which is a good call. Staff on hand answered questions and assisted with photo taking, which came out awesome. Lovely little place with much to see and do, including kangeroos (yes, you can pet and feed them) platypus, devils, and amphibians. Thank you to all the staff for making my dream come true. 🙏 🐨

Visit the cute Koala's - This is a must do for all visitors to Brisbane. Really excited about seeing so many Koala's, Kangaroos and Wallabies in the sanctuary. There is a lot of walking to be done.

Love the Bird Show - Have visited lone pine a few times over the years, bird show has always been a highlight. This time it seemed to drag on, and wasn’t very engaging. Unfortunately for my kids, it seems they don’t bring all the birds over for photos and questions anymore.. Keeper with the pink hair seemed quite rude. Hopefully she was just having a bad day but we were a bit disheartened as the bird show used to be my children’s favourite! Otherwise still love the place :)
