An absolute MUST in Brisbane! - This was an absolute highlight of our stay in Brisbane. The people working there are very enthusiastic and passionate about the animals, and they put the needs of the animals first. For example, they interrupted and later canceled the Sheepdog Show because the dog detected a brown snake, so they cleared the area to not put the animals at risk. I thought it was very responsible. A bunch of people complained in the grumpy tourist way, but in my experience, brain cells turn off on vacation so I wouldn't take them seriously. You can feed the kangaroos ($2 for a small bag of kangaroo food) and look at koalas, birds, reptiles, dingoes, nocturnal animals, and a platypus, but it's not exactly a zoo. Sometimes animals will hide or sleep or whatever, so you won't see them, but that's... what animals do. Some folks complained about this too, but again brain cells. We got to meet Grover the koala, which was an absolute pleasure. He was just doing his thing. The folks watching over him spent about 20 minutes with us, with each group getting around 5 minutes with Grover, and answered all the questions we had about koalas. That was fine, it was still a delightful experience and we didn't want to stress the animals out. The only thing I would ask for is a bus ticket machine at the bus stop just outside the sanctuary, lol. We caught the last bus of the day and didn't have a Go card, it felt wrong to just sit on the bus as the bus driver judged us silently.

Loved every moment - Very accommodating, lovely trip up the river. The sanctuary is beautiful! After an adventurous few hours it was nice to get back on board and enjoy a beverage while cruising the river. Jetty is located in convenient spot at Southbank.

Nice - When you book, you are added to a list at the sanctuary. Overall a good experience, checks times before leaving as certain wildlife events happen throughout the day.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. - Lone Pine was the best. Way better than it's competitor in the brizzie area. (you know I mean) took the boat trip up which In itself was great as well Lone Pine is the way to go. Aussie animals only... And the Raptor show was outstanding..

Amazing, must do in Australia - This was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. So much to see and do. Hold the koala bear, feed the birds and kangaroos. Liked it better than the zoo

A Lovely day out - We found this place fascinating,so good to be close up with so many koalas, sleeping, feeding and moving about. Also several other animals here including a field with kangaroos that you can go into and feed them. The adults love it here let alone the kids!

The kangaroos blew him away - The entire sanctuary was amazing. We wanted to give our 10yr old grandson a wonderful experience with the native animals - and he loved every minute. His absolute favourite even more than cuddling a koala, was the feeding of so many of the kangaroos and the sheer volume of them roaming free. A 180km round trip - but worth every minute. Our grandson rated it 100 out of 10!!

Prima - You can't hold a koala anymore but you can pet it. You have to pay extra for this and buy a separate ticket. We didn't do this, we're still wild beasts, and we thought this was pathetic. Furthermore, there is not much to see in the park, some Australian animals such as birds, dino, kangaroo that are very tame, snakes, platypus. We had seen it again after an hour.

Amazing experience. Highly recommended. - Best animal experience ever I have had. We spent 4 hours here arriving just after 10. Carpark was pretty full even at that time on a Sunday. We bought the Koala moment ticket online, however still needed the day pass to look around and loved the Kangaroo closeup, sheep dog show, raptor show and Koala's everywhere. Take plenty of water with you and you need at least 4 hours to look around. It was great to see Australian wildlife, birds, endangered species. Toilets were clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Koala moment was a bit rushed I felt.
