Do you know that Cailler is the first to invent chocolate in a bar form? - Fact - i did not know that Cailler is a Nestle product. We were in a tour group and had gathered some interesting facts from this visit. Maison Cailler is an animated museum. Our visit here gave us glimpses of some chocolate manufacturing operations. Apparently Cailler is not available for export and is found only in Switzerland. After the end of the tour, there was an area where you could generously sample some varieties of their produce. And the last spot is of course the gift shop where we bought many fresh chocolates home. It was really a sweet sweet memory of my chocolate factory visit.

Not just a regular chocolate factory - My friends and I were in Montreux to go to the International Hot Air Balloon Festival, and we had a free day on Sunday. Since Broc was pretty close to Montreux, we decided to visit the Cailler chocolate factory. They do have a student discount, which was nice. It's a short walk from the Broc Fabrique train stop. You walk to the ticket office then into the main building, which houses both the museum, gift shop, and cafe. The tours are about every hour, and the train also comes every hour more or less. They have audio guides in various languages for the tour. You walk through a brief history of where chocolate originates from with amazing visuals and sound. After that, we walked into a room that showed the supply chain of chocolate from people that grow the beans to deliver the chocolate. Then comes the factory part, where you can see people making chocolate. Lastly, the most exciting part! Chocolate tastings. It's a great way to sample chocolates because there are no samples in the gift shops. They had about ten different chocolate samples. I really wish they had water because tasting all of them was really sweet.

Really nteresting journey through all things chocolat Cailler - Some friends drove us to the Cailler factory near the cheese village of Gruyere. The journey up from Lausanne was spectacular in itself. The original factory (a building architecturally interesting) still stands proud, dominating the mountainscape. The tour (aided by chocolate bar shaped audio guides which work really well) leads you through the complete history of the Caillier brand from 1819 to the present day. Along the way you will learn and begin to understand everything that goes into the making of quality chocolate. This includes lots of touching, smelling and finally tasting everything that goes into this delightful product. The tour finishes in the boutique where I imagine very few people leave empty handed! Well worth a visit.

For the LOVE of chocolate - Whether or not you like chocolate, this place is very cool to see. On the factory tour your guaranteed to learn so much more about chocolate than you every imagined there was to even know about chocolate. If you like chocolate, you will get a chance to gorge yourself on chocolate at the end of the tour. VERY COOL!

Awesome tour - Take a tour back in the history of chocolate and the local tradition. Registration included and as my daughter said, I never thought I’d only spent 10 min in a place with excellent and unlimited supply of chocolate... bring some water. Count about 1 hour for the visit.

Learning about chocolate - The most important thing is to book tickets for a specific time online on their official website before you come here as it can be a long wait else. It was a nice experience were you go from one room to the next tracing the origins of chocolate and finally ending with how they manufacture it today. You get to taste some nice chocolate too. You get some small chocolates (which are amazing). However, don't get too full from eating these as in the last room they have really amazing and rich chocolates (for free!) which you should try. Do bring some water, to quench the thirst after eating the chocolate. The shop also sells discounted chocolate - so buy your swiss chocolates here to take back home.

Fun for kids and adults - Make sure to take the tour. A little spooky at first for little ones but a fun intro to the world of delicious chocolate. Four adults, one teen and two tiny tots thoroughly enjoyed the Cailler experience. At the end of the tour you get to enjoy and taste so many chocolates that you walk out in a sugar high. Delicious!!! The staff was all very nice. The gift shop where you can buy chocolates can be a little overwhelming if there are a lot of people like on the day we went but we walked out with a large bag of chocolates! After Cailler head over to Gruyer for lunch and merengues in double cream!

3 hours trip to visit the Cailler excursion but we failed - Being in Geneve we decided to visit chocolate factory Cailler in Broc village. We have a long way on foot from Gruyere Castle to Cailler. We lost a road several times, it is difficult to find on foor or by bus (the best way to reach is by train from Bulle) and finally reached the factory. Unfortunately we were late for 15 mins when the last ticket were sold and were not allowed to enter the excursion at the factory which was our goal. We bought several chocolates only and being upset returned to Geneve.

Not what I expected - If you arrive by car, there is a large free parking. The tour starts at specific hours, your tickets will show when you can go in. There is an audioguide and very friendly staff. The boutique is large, you can buy plenty of chocolate at a good price. Moreover the little café has nice products, although I found the tea and coffee to be very expensive. The tour is ok. You learn about the origins of the chocolate, and about how Nestlé and Cailler merged. A large room will display the main products used to make chocolate with recorded voices of the different workers from the producer to the farmer. They all explain how great Nestlé is, which I find a bit disturbing. I think that the museum should be free, because it is more an advertisement for Nestlé than a real tour on how chocolate is made. I found it a bit disappointing. You can only have a glimpse of the factory, but you will not see how all the chocolates are made, appart from the tiny "branche cailler" It's probably fun for small children, or in a day at Gruyère, but I would not go only for the short visit of Cailler.

Very unsatisfying - I didn’t visit because I ordered from your customer support workshop not only watching, but he suggested this activity. So that I requested refund abd I still waiting to get my money back.
