A must go to place!!!! - This place is a hidden gem! Could not have asked for a more beautiful place to go to. The staff were amazing, the views were spectacular and the wine was AMAZING!! My friends and I felt so welcomed and left with lots of knowledge about the wine also. By far the best vineyard I have been too.

Caels Gate Wine tasting and PloughMans Lunch was the best experience of quite a number visited in the Hunter in 2024 - The Wine Tasting & PloughMans Lunch was fantastic. We visited a few other Wineries this trip but ...by far Caels Gate was the best experience. Mandy the Cellar manager met us and though the tasting improved our knowledge of both wines but also the tasting process. She then sat us beside the wood fire for our delicious and expansive lunch. Chris the Owner and Vintner had gone to great trouble to put the lunch together and was able to cater for a Gluten Free option for us.(he does need a few days notice).
Chris took a lot of time with us explaining the processes and the blending of a few of his special wines. We spent over 2 hours there with them and came away fully satisfied and more knowledgeable of wines. The experience was excellent value and we will be coming back. Thanks Chris and Mandy
