  BODY WORLDS VITAL is on view in the 19th-century halls of the former city hospital at the Old St. John site (site Oud Sint-Jan), daily until November 5, 2023, and showcases a unique collection of real, human, plastinated specimens that illustrate the body in health and distress, while highlighting its potential, strength and vitality.

The exhibition showcases an extensive range of over 200 exhibits, featuring full-body plastinates, individual organs, organ arrangements, see-through slices, blood vessel formations, and developmental stages. The full-body plastinates are arranged in realistic positions, such as playing sports or making love, to help visitors understand how our anatomy functions in daily situations.

Exhibition Body Worlds includes an interactive ‘anatomical mirror’, enabling visitors to project a magnified image of their internal reflection, facilitating exploration of their own body movements and the alignment of their internal organs. Exhibition Body Worlds is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the railway station and the Market Square in the heart of Bruges, Belgium.
