Some tips for your visit - It’s a nice museum. Very informative. With that being said, I won’t bring little and young kids here, there is a lot of reading (which is interesting ), but just not for young kids. And there is maybe 1-2 interactive exhibits there. The cafe that has “famous Belgium frites” was not impressive at all. Just regular fries. Be aware there could be school groups visiting the museum and the cafe. You won’t get served your food till the entire school group is served (in our case it was 40 kids). We paid for our order and then were told we would have to wait till the group is serviced. If I would have been told this prior to placing the order, I obviously would not have ordered lunch at the museum cafe. Other than that, we had a good time and learnt a lot about potatoes

A lot of fun - We had the best time here! You need to take it for what it is a museum of chips! Lots of interactive bits and bobs. The potato song was a particular high.
Recommend visiting after a few beers to make the experience truly memorable!

Amazing. - Best French fries museum in the world! (But also the only one I visited).
You can discover the whole story of the french fries and potatoes.
Do not hesitate to dwell on the dance of Mr. Fry and Mrs. Potato which is so cool.
Remember to take your picture in the photocalls for a memory of hell!
Finally, a short trip to the restaurant to eat delicious fries with a good beer (the decor is ouffisime).

Fun and educational museum🙌🏻 - We visited the Fries Museum in Bruges and found it a fun and educational experience. You will learn about the history of potato and Belgian fries in an interactive way, with fun activities such as quizzes for children. The museum is located in a beautiful historic building, which creates a cozy atmosphere.
What made the visit extra special was the opportunity to taste real Belgian fries in the café at the end of the tour. Unfortunately, the fries themselves were a bit disappointing for us; they lacked the typical, crispy taste we expected.
Despite this downside, it was a fun and educational experience that we definitely recommend, especially for families or those who want to know more about this iconic Belgian product. We give the Fries Museum 4 stars!

History of the potato - A museum that seems unmissable in Belgium. With our two children (tickets combined with Choco Story), we visited this museum for 1 hour. A simple visit, lots of signs to read, some animations.
At the end possibility to buy very good fries (for those who prefer them cooked in beef fat).

You learn things about french fries but not very interactive! - You learn a lot about french fries and potatoes in general!
The origins of potatoes, its history over time, its arrival in Belgium, the recipe for optimal cooking...
However the museum is quite old, we feel that it has a renovation to do:) despite some games it remains a lot to read and not very interactive.

Fun museum to visit - If you have an hour or so to spare this museum is worth a trip (rainy day or not) even for 2 teens (15 & 18 yrs). Spread over 3 floors lots of interesting facts and some fun activities and quizzes on the way. Bonus of some Belgium frites at the end - at a reasonable price.

Nice without more - 45 minutes to discover the origin of the potato and all its varieties on the ground floor, then upstairs we immediately dive into the origin of the fries and all its devices to peel, cut, fry, distribute in cone, accompaniments, the evolution of consumption over time.

Nice to have seen - Nice to have walked around for an hour. Starting is a bit boring, especially for the kids. It'll be more fun later. Fun for the kids. The quizzes in between make it interesting for children.

Very unfriendly lady behind the counter - Very unfriendly staff. We came with a group. Were just talking eat and were very unfriendly addressed by the lady behind the counter. We were also not given any equipment to listen to the spoken texts. When we asked for it they said we only got it if we were quiet and that she thought we were very disrespectful. Excuse me??? How she claimed us was totally disrespectful! Never again and definitely not recommended
