Nice museum with a nice ending! - A very original & educational museum. Also fun for children, with adapted activities. And in the end a real fry-up with tasty Belgian fries and a wide choice of snacks. Highly recommended if you visit Bruges.

Some tips for your visit - It’s a nice museum. Very informative. With that being said, I won’t bring little and young kids here, there is a lot of reading (which is interesting ), but just not for young kids. And there is maybe 1-2 interactive exhibits there. The cafe that has “famous Belgium frites” was not impressive at all. Just regular fries. Be aware there could be school groups visiting the museum and the cafe. You won’t get served your food till the entire school group is served (in our case it was 40 kids). We paid for our order and then were told we would have to wait till the group is serviced. If I would have been told this prior to placing the order, I obviously would not have ordered lunch at the museum cafe. Other than that, we had a good time and learnt a lot about potatoes

With one frie, it was a perfect one! - We were a group of 15 people. It was for the purpose of a school excursion. There were 13 teenagers and two adults. The people, who welcome you, didn’t seem very friendly, but that’s just a detail. The museum as a whole is top. I advise you to do it is great! You really learn about the potato culture and the very birth of the french fries. Little advice, take the audio guides. They will allow you to access the interactive screen of the museum Okay, let's get into the final subject. The one that turned my opinion upside down. When you finish the museum, you have the right to leave the place or go for a fries. I advise you to leave the museum to finish on a high note. A chip shop that is located below a museum, moreover that concerns the fries, it must be impeccable. Unfortunately, this is not the case, fries are not the best... being in Belgium, the country of fries and not enjoying a good fries.. this feeling tears my heart ..

Good way to spend an hour... - Good way to spend an hour or so followed by some great fries. Some of the exhibits were quite serious about the history of potatoes, but with quite a few fun things too. Definitely worth stopping for the fries after.

Interesting but perfectible museum - Interesting museum, especially for children, although the fun aspect could be improved. The exhibition is interactive and allows you to immerse yourself in the history of Belgian fries, from their origins to their evolution. However, despite its educational aspect, the museum lacks a little appeal for the youngest. The staff is friendly. An audio guide, available in several languages, is offered at the entrance. The museum itself is quite old and could well use renovations to bring some modernity and freshness. There is no free french fries tasting! At the end of the tour, a restaurant inside offers fries for sale, but the quality does not live up to expectations. They have not impressed us particularly and could be improved.

OK, but also a bit average - This is a self-guided tour over several floors of a building, with a LOT of reading required. Some of the displays were quite 'child-like' in their presentation, so it will suit all ages, but some of it is a bit 'average'.

Nice for once - A nice museum, but not that we would go back there again. We spent an hour over the entire museum. No elevator available.

Mwoah 🫠 - In itself a nice museum about potatoes, but for that price you do expect at least a fries included. The fact that you still have to pay for your fries in a dusty basement is not really inviting (even with a -0.50 coupon🥴) Chocolate museum was more fun, more interaction, presentations and you could taste good.

Don’t visit, outdated and dull - Dreadful experience, lots of reading without audio guides, overpriced and fries at the end weren’t included in the ticket cost, you only got a €0.5 discount in the cafe located in an underground run down basement. The content within the museum was entirely outdated and ‘kid-like’. Swerve this if you’re considering, until it’s refreshed and more interactive. We thought there’d be a demonstration of making fries, but absolutely not. For €11 per person, it really wasn’t worth it.
