Must visit in Bruge - Excellent tourist attraction for couples, individual travellers and families alike. The 30 euro ticket is good value as includes the VR experience, self guided tour and climb to the top of the tower. The story on the tour gives a great insight into medieval Bruge and a fantastic historical context. The interactive quizzes after the tour are good fun and give more information about Bruge's history. Parts reminded me of the Jorvik Viking Centre in York. Quirky and interesting, a lovely way to spend a couple of hours especially if it is rainy.

SUPER ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - The whole visit was fantastic! From reservation to visit. Actually, a MUST for everyone! A SURPLUS for the history lessons! The visit was already on our wish list. Now that the granddaughter of 16 had to make a work for school about a museum, we didn't hesitate for a second. We knew immediately where to go and our expectations were exceeded. Thank you so much for making this possible.

Excellent VR historical story about Brugge - Excellent virtual reality plus history tour. We arrived first thing on a Sunday when they opened and there was not a line. We did not reserve in advance. You first go into a room, sit down and put on the VR goggles. It was amazing and set up the story. You then took off the goggles and continued through several rooms to hear the complete historical tour which was very good. At the end, we climbed the very narrow, winding staircase to the top for an incredible view of Brugge. Please note that the stairs are very narrow, a little steep, and the walk way around outside at the top is very narrow. I have a bit of claustrophobia and I was fine. A couple of young women who were afraid of heights could not walk around the outside area (it was so narrow that you could only walk around in one direction). The views of Brugge was worth it. Our bicycle tour guide told us this was definitely worth it and he was correct,

Fantastic impression of medieval Bruges - Beautiful VR tour, you feel like you are in medieval Bruges. The tour with the “guide” from a day of his life is also beautifully made. In short, highly recommended.

Interactive learning at its best - This is a well thought out and invested interactive tour. Cool use of VR to walk you through the history of Bruges, followed by a well developed story of Jacob and Anna in old Bruges. This has you going through multiple rooms and watching the story unfold. Then at the end there is a nice medieval bar with a balcony view of the square. This is the future of museum tours!

Museum that approaches the history of Bruges in a fun and immersive way. - Very interesting concept to know part of the history of Bruges: the Middle Ages. Concept that may interest many more people than in a classical history museum because it is more accessible. Suitable for children, quite playful. The small plus the view on the large square. The little less do not be nearsighted for the VR as you are asked to remove the glasses for the helmet at the beginning of the experience. To do from the opening because there are not many people: my husband and I were alone in the attraction it was great! Price a bit high so not for all budgets but if you have to make only one museum in Bruges it is a good approach to the history of the city.

restricted - I went there with my boyfriend and we found it in itself a great experience. The VR was very instructive but a bit on the slow side for us. It was nice to see what the building used to look like. The experience itself was also nice. the audio guide worked excellent and the rooms were magnifique decorated. However, we were sorry that it relied solely on the story and would have liked to know even more about the old Bruges. But it is definitely something to see once in a lifetime and the experience we are certainly not going to forget.

Marketing scam - I'm sorry to say but this attraction is a marketing scam! It promotes Bruges' history in an interactive way but in reality, apart from the short VR experience, the Historium itself focuses on a fictitious love story in medieval Bruges. For the historical facts, there's an exhibition at the end but the site's marketing department promotes the walk through experience thus one visits with the idea that you'll learn about Bruges' history from it which is far from the truth. At least from the balcony there was a wonderful view of the square all lit up for Christmas but since there's also a bar, I believe it is free to visit without paying for the Historium (unless you buy yourself something to drink).

Too much story, not enough Bruges - We were hoping to learn a lot about the life in Bruges during this time period, the daily life, markets, different levels of society, etc. Instead, this attraction focused on a bit of a silly story about a boy searching for a girl and a bird. That being said, adding the VR for 5 euros is worth it. While it is short, it is informative about Bruges in this time period. Also, the exhibit at the end is good and provides more historical background. There is also a nice view of the Market Sqare from balcony of Historium exhibit. I have seen the responses to other reviews saying that this is meant to be accessible to young and old at the same time, but I think that this is possible to do in a much better and more informative way. Instead of being defensive about what the Historium is now, perhaps accept these constructive observations as a way to improve it. I think that the Historium could be great, but now it misses the mark and is not worth the price.
