Exciting historical tour - travel back into Bruges golden century - Xavier brought me back in Bruges golden 15th century. The tour included the main historical and cultural places, the buildings expressing the international character (esp Spain and Italy) as well as some hidden cultural gems with presence of Flemish Primitives and Renaissance art works. I was amazed of the several important figures who visited and/or stayed in Bruges like Napoleon, Philippe Le Bon (the architect of the Low Countries and still existing order Golden Fleece ) , Jan v Eyck and Memling ( Flemish Primitives),.. Although I went to school in Bruges , I realized I hardly knew anything. this tour was a eye opener how beautiful and important this city is and was in the time The tour was very much interactive, with an enjoying pace , finishing it with a drink of a local Bruges beer on one of the best viewing spots 😊
