Get acquainted with the fundamentals of sea kayaking onshore before we set off from Mere Point in Brunswick for a relaxed 3-hour morning journey through Northwest Casco Bay! We often head south to the extremity of Mere Point for a chance to take photographs before we proceed to an island for a break to stretch, eat some snacks, and explore the shoreline. We then return to our starting point by passing another island. Your Master Maine Guide will convey the history of the region while adjusting the tour to the prevailing paddling conditions and the capabilities of the participants.
Sea kayaking serves as an effortless, enjoyable method to tour from the waters. We frequently encounter a variety of sea gulls, cormorants, ducks, great blue herons, snowy egrets, osprey and occasionally bald eagles. We might even spot a seal if we’re fortunate.
This safe, picturesque, historic area of Casco Bay promises to be a delight for paddlers of all ages ! There’s no need for prior experience. Both single and double kayaks are available for this guided tour led by a Master Maine Guide.
