Hands on, entertaining, educational, and chocolatety experience! - This was a really fun, interactive, and educational experience! The instructor told us fun stories, some history about chocolate, and explained step by step the processes we used to make the two different types of chocolates while good music was playing in the background. Overall, this was an enjoyable and entertaining experience and I would recommend to anyone visiting Brussels.

A Class with Good Taste! - This was a hands-on experience that won't be forgotten. Learning about tempering chocolate using the right temperatures and stirring techniques will be used in my own kitchen. Making the pralines was fun and now I understand why they are so expensive--there are a lot of steps involved! I guess our favorite part of the experience might be eating all the chocolate remaining in our pot at the end of the class!

Manufacture of our chocolates - Everything is very well organized and intimate.
Manipulation, a little history was very interesting
A workshop in French would be a real plus

Highly Recommend - What a great experience! Miranda, the instructor was very knowledgeable, helpful and created a fun and chilled out environment. We chose this workshop over others as it seemed more personal and authentic and it was. Would highly recommend, thank you!

Highly recommend - This was an absolute fantastic chocolate making experience. Rose was a terrific instructor. She was very patient with so many small groups making their own chocolates. Rose was extremely organized and offered clear and concise instruction to have a successful chocolate making experience. You will have the opportunity to make two types of Belgian chocolates: Pralines with ganache filling (as well as several other fillings of your choice) and mendiants (round medallions of chocolate, topped with fruits and nuts of your choosing). The chocolate nibs used for melting and cooking was absolutely delicious! We had fun eating the scrapings of chocolate through the process! Rose even cooked up a delicious batch of fresh hot chocolate for us! Yum! I highly recommend this chocolate making experience!

Chocolate Making or Chocolate Mistake? A Bitter Experience in Brussels - Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this chocolate-making session. First off, the location is far from the city center, tucked away in a sketchy, rundown area that made me wonder if I was in the right place—or if I was about to be part of an impromptu crime scene reenactment. For safety, take a taxi from the site—it’s not the kind of place you want to navigate on foot, especially as the sun sets.
As for the session itself, it was a bit of a letdown. The structure was chaotic, with very little guidance. The instructor would vanish between steps like a chocolate Houdini, leaving us to guess what came next. Honestly, a printed instruction sheet would have been more helpful. It felt less like a "workshop" and more like a "watch us make chocolate and you try to figure it out" session.
The hands-on experience was minimal. We essentially added chocolate to already-tempered batches and poured them into molds—hardly the “artisanal chocolate-making” experience you might expect for €43. For that price, I expected to get my hands a bit messier, maybe even learn something, not just play the role of a very expensive mold-filler. I’d say it was worth about €25 at most, but only if that included a free tour of the local area to walk off the disappointment.
The class was overcrowded, making it difficult to see or follow along. By the end of it, I was half-convinced I was in an accidental chocolate flash mob. And, to top it off, there was no feedback box or any interest from the organizers in how we felt about the session. Once the hot chocolate was served (weirdly, at the end of the class, instead of midway when you might need a sugar fix), they seemed ready to push us out the door. The hot chocolate was... fine, I guess, but don’t expect a Willy Wonka-style revelation. Also, we were given about half a glass—guess they were rationing it like we were in a chocolate famine.
If you’re planning a visit to Brussels, skip this one and book ahead for a more established chocolate factory or one of the mainstream workshops. This experience was a little less “chocolate magic” and a lot more “chocolate tragedy."
