After checking in, you will get geared up, go through a pre-trip safety talk and video and then jump on the bus for short ride to the put-in. Then in it’s down the river you go to enjoy the Nantahala’s fun and splashy rapids along with the spectacular mountain scenery of the Nantahala River Gorge. The grand finale of the trip is the Class III Nantahala Falls!

Beautiful day on the river - Big Joe was a great guide. Very knowlegable about the river and the history of the area. Training beforehand was helpful.

Fun on the Nantahala River - Our guide made the rafting so much fun by his antics with a water gun used to have the young man rafting with us spray other rafters and even tourists walking across a bridge above us. It was such a beautiful 8 mile trip.

Go! - My husband and I took our two 10 year old grandsons and we all had a great time. Our guide Nya was the highlight! She gave an extremely informative safety lecture at the outset which was also humerous and kept everyone's attention. We had great weather and the trip down the river was lovely. Nya let us decide if we wanted to spin off the rocks. (we did) and jump into the (very cold) river. The boys did, the adults did not. I always felt very safe during the trip, but it was exciting too. We would definitely recommend it.

Family fun rafting day in NC. - Perfect family rafting or for anyone first rafting. Lots of fun and beautiful scenery-river. Kudos for our river guide Cody who made it fun for everyone! and do not forget the brunch at the River's End restaurant, home-made breakfast on the river.

Totally worth waking up early for!!! - This by far was the best time ever!!! Our guide Cody calmed my nerves and made sure we were safe! We had so much fun learned lots of facts about the river and had many laughs! Thank you Cody for the great experience!!!!!!

A fabulous way to check off that bucket list! - I had a fabulous time … Jasmine was an awesome guide sharing lots of local information about the River, it’s history, the foliage,etc. She made us feel safe while allowing us to experience the River and it’s falls to the fullest. It was the perfect way to spend the day! Highly recommend

Rafting the Nantahala with family - We had a wonderful time with our guide Jackson. The weather was beautiful and the river very peaceful. Jackson did a great job of alerting us to upcoming River characteristics. We all stayed in the boat.

Poor 3rd Party Management - VIATOR forgot to change our reservation with the actual host, hence they were NOT able to accommodate us as we thought we were scheduled. Thankfully they were able to put us on a trip 3 hours later, but having driven over an hour to learn such, we wasted almost a complete day of our vacation waiting. The tour company suggested we book directly to avoid such mismanagement...
