Day 1 | Bucharest – Curtea de Arges – Transfagarasan Road* – Sibiu
The journey begins with a scenic drive from Bucharest to Curtea de Arges, the historic capital of Wallachia, where the Curtea de Arges Monastery will be visited. The tour continues along the Transfagarasan Road, leading to Sibiu, where a walking tour will be enjoyed before checking into the hotel.
Day 2 | Sibiu – Hunedoara – Alba Iulia – Turda – Cluj
The first stop is at Corvin Castle, followed by a visit to the Alba Carolina Fortress in Alba Iulia. From there, the tour proceeds to the Turda Salt Mine, and then to Cluj-Napoca. After a brief walking tour, there will be free time to explore the nearby cafes and restaurants.
Day 3 | Cluj-Napoca – Bistrita – Voronet
On the way to Bukovina, a stop in Bistrita will include a short sightseeing tour and a chance to sample local products. The journey continues to Bukovina to visit the Voronet Monastery.
Day 4 | Voronet – Moldovita – Sucevita – Iasi
The fourth day features a tour of the Painted Monasteries, including Moldovita and Sucevita, before heading to Iasi for a brief walking tour and hotel check-in.
Day 5 | Iasi – Targu Neamt – Piatra Neamt
Day five includes a tour of Iasi, visiting the Palace of Culture, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre. The tour then moves to Targu Neamt for a visit to the Neamt Citadel, concluding in Piatra Neamt.
Day 6 | Piatra Neamt – Bicaz – Corund – Biertan – Sighisoara
Traveling through the stunning Bicaz Gorges, the first stop is the Red Lake. Next is Corund, a major pottery center in Transylvania, followed by a visit to Biertan.
Day 7 | Sighisoara – Viscri – Brasov
The day begins with a visit to the Clock Tower, home to Sighisoara’s History Museum. The tour then proceeds to Viscri Village and concludes with a short walking tour in Brasov.
Day 8 | Brasov – Bran – Sinaia – Bucharest
The day starts with a city tour of Brasov’s main attractions, followed by a short drive to Bran to explore Dracula’s Castle. The next stop is Sinaia to visit Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family.
Day 9 | Bucharest City Tour
The final day offers a full-day city tour of Bucharest, including the Palace of the Parliament, the Bucharest Village Museum, and a walking tour of the Old Town.

Embark on a journey across Romania in an intimate group tour catering to a maximum of 8 participants. Enjoy the highlights of Romania in a comprehensive 10-day tour commencing from Bucharest. We’ll direct our expedition towards Romania’s western region where we’ll admire Cluj-Napoca, explore the Turda Salt Mine, and marvel at the Alba Carolina Fortress before proceeding to the timeless realm of Bukovina. In Bukovina, we’ll tour the UNESCO-recognized Painted Monasteries and become acquainted with the local customs and traditions.
We’ll then make our way back to Transylvania to behold some of its iconic landmarks, such as the UNESCO-acclaimed Villages with Fortified Churches, the Sighisoara Citadel, and Bran Castle, not forgetting the city of Brasov. Our journey continues with an exploration of the former domicile of the Romanian royals, Peles Castle, before returning to Bucharest for a city tour of Romania’s capital.
