Bucharest Manifesto - Really interesting and fun. To learn of the Communist occupation from someone who lived it was very moving. From the architecture to philosophy…all in all quite the experience. An easy 5 star tour….

Highly recommended. - The bike tour was fantastic taking us to many of the interesting sights around Bucharest. Lucia, our guide, was really engaged giving us great insights and personal anecdotes about Bucharest and life here both under the communist regime, and as an independent republic. Being on bikes was great to get around to cover more ground. We had lots of short stops, and a longer one by the river which was beautiful.

Really knowledgeable guide - The area that we were able to cover in the time gave a real sense of the varied architecture of the city. The bikes were easy to use and we were provided with helmets. We felt really informed about the history of Bucharest and its people. It was really enjoyable to meet other travellers and share experiences.

Fantastic Tour! - Alex was a fantastic host and his knowledge of Bucharest, the city's culture and its communist history is amazing. He took us to a variety of landmarks and was able to explain their significance in great detail. He was also very friendly and pleasant. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bucharest with an interest in communism or history in general. I have only 1 regret... due to a serious miscalculation of the exchange rate, I didn't tip him what I wanted. I'm really sorry about this and wish I could turn the clock back!

Insightfull and Well-Prepared City Tour - Alex and his Commnist Bike Tour was the highlight of our stay in Bucharest. Alex took us around the city, and gave us insightful details in to the history of Bucharest. I've been on some other cities tours in other countries, and I have to say that Alex was the most prepared, and the most interesting tour guide. Of course, it helps that Bucharest is an incredible city to bicycle through. Alex showed us some video clips as well, highlighting some recent historical moments including Ceausescu and the Romanian Revolution. Highly recommended

Bucharest on a bike, but this is no normal tour. - Not having known any of the timeline of communism or where it fits into Romania’s history, I was completely stoked on this bike tour. Alex is an energetic host, very conversational and enthusiastic. He takes the time to really explore the subject with you personally, allowing questions to veer off wherever the day leads. Alex is brilliantly knowledgable on Bucharest history, and I say BRILLIANT in bright big letters. If this is your first time in Romania, book this tour! You’re not going to see Bucharest this extensively without it. Thanks a lot Alex! I really appreciate your energy and expertise.
